There seems to be many reports of "visitors" during various stake conferences being held in Utah and Arizona. Does anyone have any idea? I have heard of Boyd K. Packer in Draper and another in Highland, both in Utah. In Arizona, several conferences will have satelite talks, while others have general authorities.

Are we being warned? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is being said in the conferences?

My stake has our normal conference scheduled for the first Sunday in May (to be done broadcast style). However, last week it was announced that we will have a "special session" of stake conference in three weeks, in the traditional style. There will be a Priesthood leadership meeting on Saturday afternoon and a Saturday night adult session, then a Sunday morning session. We are going to have a visiting authority, but I don't know who.

I live in Ohio, so nowhere near Utah, North Utah (Idaho), or South Utah (Arizona).

Elder Holland attended ours in Aberdeen, Scotland last September - his speech was entitled Hard Times and in included an amazing blessing. However we get a member of the 12 at Stake Conference every 10-15 years or so he was about on time lol. And we get an Area Authority 70 once a year

I was told that they show up when there is a changing of the guard in Stake Presidents.

you are correct....it will either be a member of the 70 or the Quorum of the 12 that attends and interviews.....they usually interview all members of Stake Presidency and High Council and all Bishops/Branch Presidents.

we usually get a 70 for ours out in the sticks but we do just periodically get a member of the 12.
