Iggy Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 My all time favorite costume was when I was in High School. At Church our theme that year was: Germs. I wore white sweat shirt, pants, shoes and gloves that had red felt lips sewn all over. I had my Mom put on bright red lipstick and kiss me all over my face too. I also made little red lips and clipped them in my hair. What was I? - - - - Mononucleosis- - - Kissing disease!:p:p Cost= three squares of red felt; probably 5 cents each. Tube of Red Red lipstick, probably about $0.75 (this is back in 1968). Thread was free for me, got it out of Mom's sewing basket. Hair clips- again free because I already had dozens that I used when I put my hair up in rollers- my hair was nearly to my waist. Quote
pam Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Oh I must remember that one. I might steal it one of these years. Quote
Jenamarie Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 When my older brother was in HS he took an auto shop class that required him to buy a cover-all. He didn't stay in that class for very long, and the next year he took a bunch of cheap plastic flies (my mom was a school teacher and had a bunch of random stuff like that for her lessons), and hot-glued them all over the cover-all, and painted the word "Exterminator" across the back. Ben Raines could also go inexpensively costumed, needing only a can of green spray paint. Quote
