bytor2112 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Oh, I think we know why they are pregnant:eek: Quote
Hemidakota Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 What is not happening at home is the clue where children are raising children in not being an active parent. Quote
hordak Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 It's a shame how the cycle just feeds itself. Girls grows up without father. Girl seek male attention in worst way. Girl gets pregnant Father splits as hes too young to raise a kid Baby girl grows up without a father... Quote
pam Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 One positive thing I read in the article. It's not like they are writing them off. It states they are still trying to get them to see the big picture and keep them thinking of graduating. Very important element right there. Quote

annewandering Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 1 out of 8 is pregnant. Soooo how many others had abortions? If you get to considering that it is pretty shocking. If they are not going to teach morals then why aren't they teaching contraception? You would think they would teach at least one or the other. Is it a just don't care attitude on the part of the kids or is it that they want a baby? I have heard kids that say a baby would be 'fun'. We have dropped the ball for sure but then the kids aren't using their heads either. Sadly I don't think its going to get better. Quote
Dravin Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 If they are not going to teach morals then why aren't they teaching contraception?.And all of the pregnancies have happened, despite prevention talk.Wither you take prevention talk to mean contraception or abstinence they are apparently teaching something, it just doesn't look like it's being taken to heart whichever it is. annewandering Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 So what is it now that has changed? Something has. Are the same number getting pregnant but more are going through the pregnancy? Are they getting fewer abortions? Or are there more pregnancies than before? We really dont know enough to see what is going on yet. Quote
