The man in my ward who does the church program appears to have some spelling issues.

I called him up and asked him to put a notice in with my email address/. I repeated it several times to him and he repeated it back. On Sunday I opened the program up and my email address was incorrect. So everyone probably emailed the wrong email for submissions for the ward cookbook I am doing for personal progress.

He makes mistakes every week and it frustrates me to see that the bishop has to announce every week the many mistakes in the program. He does not have email so everything submitted is over the phone. He repeated it several times back to me correctly.

Is it rude to bring this to the attention of the bishop ? I would love to handle the program !

I know I am out of line but it was an important step in my project to have people email me recipes. I had to go to all the different classes and announce the emails wrong and make a sheet up so those planning on emailing me would have the correct address.

Its just all very frustrating. I called him and asked him to take it out of next weeks program and he said no ! I had to spend 5 minutes convincing him I didn't need it in again.

Welcome to the world of ward correlation. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you don't. Sometimes it can be frustrating..and sometimes you just gotta go with the flow and have backup plans.

You don't always know why someone has been called to a certain position. You sometimes think someone else would be better suited because of things as you mentioned. But perhaps there is a reason he has been called to that position. Perhaps it's to help him learn and grow in a position such as this.

Callings are not always about me. Sometimes, I have to remind myself that people need callings for their own growth/needs.

Give the guy a break. This may be an important thing for him, and I'm guessing he is doing the best job he can. Forgive him for his mistakes/weaknesses, just as I'm sure he can forgive you yours.

Type up or print very clearly your email address and hand it to him next time. Chances are that Relief Society is where most of your suggestions are coming from, you could also ask to post a flier or have them make an announcement that there was typo in the program and the correct email address is ***@***.*** or what have you.
