Priesthood Lineage

I was ordained today and received my lineage. Someone told me mine was really good because it has all apostles and high priests. What is the difference or is it just bragging over something petty?

Bragging. Admittedly it can be neat to see who it has passed through but the only thing that really matters is that it's the Savior at one end and you at the other.

1) An apostle holds no more priesthood than an elder.

2) The only names in the line of authority that matter at all are yours and Christ's.

It's a lot better to have a strong lineage with lots of high ranking officials. A study done at BYU in the 80's demonstrated that a strong lineage priesthood had a high correlation to power flux and capacitation, it laymen's terms that means that chances are higher that healings will be successful.

I don't understand your question but I do understand that high quality priesthood is much more preferable to the mediocre priesthood that most people have. I trace my priesthood right through Joseph Smith and then to Peter James and John so I know I got the good mojo.

Now Snow, let's not forget that there are some people whose line of authority will trace through Oliver Cowdery and then through Peter, James, and John. How unlike you to leave out such a little detail.
