Maya Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 It looks like it's alive. In the video it is even more alive.. pretty scarry... Quote
Dossice Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Wow! What a wave! I wonder how in the world the person who took the picture while in his boat was able to keep their camera from toppling out into the water? They either have had to of been inside a cabin or have had a really strong grip! With the Fish Eye distortion of the picture it's hard to tell.. It does make me appreciate not living near a large body of water now! Quote
Moksha Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 In the video it is even more alive.. pretty scarry... If Loki is behind this living storm, then perhaps the lightning was Thor trying to stop his mischief. Quote

You almost expect an enormous space craft to come out of those. Quote

havejoy Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I talked to my foreign exchange daughter who lives near Helsinki and she tells me the temperature there is 90F which is the highest ever. BTW, those clouds look a lot like the ones we get on the Texas gulf right before a hurricane. Quote
Maya Posted August 10, 2010 Author Report Posted August 10, 2010 Yes, I was too lazy to translate the celcius to farenheits... Thsi summer has been the warmest ever... thinking about the permaice melting and Grønland ice melting and fires in Russia... maybe the big deep IS moving thowards the North and the 10 tribes are getting out of the way thowards south We are not used to such storms.. looks kind of funny people everywhere just standing and wanting to SEE the storm... not even many running for shelter. Doss... my first toughts were too that it sure looked like a big wave coming in. Btw the person was standing on the beach when filming. You can hear when the wind came. I was writting with my frien in Skype and she told me she thinks a thunderstorm is coming as it suddenly become so dark so I called my mother and while we were talking she said " ops It suddenly got quite dark here." My friend said the storm came on very fast ... as you can see in the film. Many had thought it was the end of the world..... Quote
UrbanFool Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Those first ones look like gigantic waves. But if they were, they'd be taking out a whole city! Quote
Maya Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 On the film too it looks like a big wave coming in! Quote
