Dr T Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Ok, tonight starts "Survivor: Nicaragua," at 8 p.m. ET/PT, beginning September 15, on CBS. I hope this season is good. Post your thoughts here. Quote
Dr T Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 I watched the first episode and really liked the medallion addition to the game this time. I would not have used it this time either but for the older team it didn't work out for them this time. I also liked how that lady used the glasses to start the fire on the first day. The person voted out was very annoying to me with all her yacking. I would have voted her out too. Any other thoughts on the first show of the season? Quote
BenRaines Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I have wondered for years why no one has used glasses to start fire. I thought maybe the were prohibited from doing it. Can't believe it has taken 21 shows for someone to think of it. The lady at the tribal council sure signed her own fate. I think Jimmy Johnson is true that no one will give him the 1 million dollars. He is there to help someone else win it. The long haired guy who seems to have a temper for no reason seems like he would be the next one to go just from his outburst. I love this show to see how unprepared most people are to manage in a wild environment. Ben Raines Quote
Dr T Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 I agree with you Ben. That guy, the fisherman, does have a temper and is digging his own hole. I wonder how long they will keep the person with one prosthetic leg? Quote
Dr T Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 From the last episode I had the question about whom would I want to vote out first, Nanonka (or whatever her name is) the lady the stole Fabio's socks and then gave him an attitude every chance she had or Holly the one that filled the guy's shoes with sand and then put them the water? It seemed to me that that lady was having a melt down and the other lady was just a punk! Then there's that Shannon character. He was a punk too. I would not want him around too long either. I loved how the girl with the prasthetic leg did in the reward challenge. She did really well and got through the mud quickly. U go girl! The young team seems to have their work cut out for them. Picking between the tarp and the fishing gear where two good choices. They need food and they will need somthing to keep the rain out some. When the "old tribe" changed around the bedding, it seemed more comfortable to me. Good call for them. The bald black guy seems cool to me so far. He looks strong, is personable and listens to others while still speaking up to them like the other fisherman that wanted to spil up 3 people to fish while the others were fixing the shelter. He said, "That is a good idea but stay on task for now..." to that fisherman. The last episode was a good one. It showed me a lot of people that rubbed me the wrong way. Quote
Dr T Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 Oh that NaOnka lady bugs me! I like Tyrone more and more and Jimmy J didn't really have a chance. Each time he was going to be a target. The old team did have a lot of leaders based on occupation. We'll c what happens. Quote
threepercent Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I think its grand that you can come to an LDS oriented web site and discuss the entertainment value of a show dedicated to secret combination's built up to get power and gain. Quote

Dr T Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 The last show really showed Jimmy T.'s insecurity and how talking too much can be a bad thing. I felt sorry for him. That Nay girl is just horrible! I can't stand her. I hope she goes soon. Quote
BenRaines Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Sad that Jimmy Johnson was kicked out. He would have helped the older tribe. Glad that Jimmy T was gone, he was annoying. I agree that Nanonka and her ghetto attitude should go first when the younger tribe loses immunity. I don't think that will happen since they are scrambling the tribes this week. Not a merge but a scramble of the two tribes in to two new tribes. She could go fast then. Ben Raines Quote
Dr T Posted October 15, 2010 Author Report Posted October 15, 2010 OK, last episode I had to laugh when Na said she was "losing it." I had to ask, "Did you ever have it?" She was really having a difficult time and ready to quit. Have they all not seen that it rains a lot sometimes, have they not been cold before, are they really not ready to deal with what nature dishes out? I'm glad they mixed up the tribes because the young team would have just kept winning I think. It is more fair this way. The person voted out this week I'll but it below. If you do not want to see who was voted out stop reading here and do not scroll down. I am disappointed with tonight vote for Tyrone. I really liked him. I would be happy to have him on my team. He did not seem to be too pushy to me. I like that they had simple ways to running the tribe. "If you go out, come back with a piece of wood." and "Here is the machete, it you take it, tell somebody else just in case they want to use it so they know where it is." How hard is that stuff? Is it really too hard? Maybe I'm OLD now and not like the young tribe! I would have voted out Na in a heartbeat. Quote
Dr T Posted October 22, 2010 Author Report Posted October 22, 2010 I watched the last show tonight. Marty is not my favorite player either. I still do not like Na, and that little cheerleader girl I do not like either. Wow, it seems I do not like many this season. I think it's their attitude that rubs me the wrong way. For the two people that got the boot night, I do not like the choice of either one of the two. Kelly B or Yve. I feel bad that Kelly got voted out because they fear the sympathy vote for her and Yve she seemed like a fighter. I'd give her credit for the spunk in her and the desire to keep a stronger tribe with her on the show still but it was not to be. Quote
Dr T Posted October 29, 2010 Author Report Posted October 29, 2010 I don't know if anybody is still watching but I watched the last episode last night. I can't say whom I'd prefer to win the whole thing this time anymore. I do not like Na or Marty much either and only want to say one thing, Marty giving up the idol was not the brightest thing I think and would guess it will come back to bite him. Maybe he'll get another one some how? What do you think of the other players? Quote
Dr T Posted November 12, 2010 Author Report Posted November 12, 2010 I'm really not drawn to watching this show this season any more. Jane seems fine I guess. Na I can't stand and can't see why they don't get rid of her. Maybe they all want to be against her at the end. Marty, well there u go. Bye to him. Quote
Dr T Posted November 19, 2010 Author Report Posted November 19, 2010 Of those left I think I'd want Jane to win. She's tough. I'm glad Brenda is out. Quote
Vegemighty Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I hope fabio wins. He's just so nice and relaxed. Quote
Dr T Posted November 20, 2010 Author Report Posted November 20, 2010 Hello and welcome Vegemighty. That name sounds familiar to me. Fabio? He just doesn't seem like the smartest one to me. He's ok. We'll c. :) Quote
Vegemighty Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 That. Was. CRAZY! I can't believe they both quit. Too bad. I didn't like Naonka anyway, but this was bittersweet because I wanted justice. If you quit you shouldnt be allowed on the jury. What were they thinking! Quote
Dr T Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 I have not not yet been able to watch so have not been able to post anything in a while. Quote
Dr T Posted December 3, 2010 Author Report Posted December 3, 2010 Yeah, I watched the last two tonight. I cannot believe that either! NO girls, 10 days left, 9 days, NO, 8, 7, all the way down...NO. You do not quit. And Na needed to allow the others to go on the reward since she was going to be leaving anyway. Come on! I'm not surprised by her decision to go watch the movie and eat but she will eat a lot the night she is off the show. I'm glad she's gone. I believe it can be difficult at times on the game but that's what you're putting yourself into. Suck it up and do the best u can. That's what I think anyway. Quote
Dr T Posted December 17, 2010 Author Report Posted December 17, 2010 I have basically two things to say: 1. Poor Jane. I really liked her spunk and how she played. She needed to be voted out of she would have won. I would have voted her out when I had the chance too. 2. Jeff really seemed to push people to play during that tribal. "Make your own alliance and vote them off." he basically said but did they change? NO Quote
tubaloth Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 So Fabio won! Which I probably would agree with. Jane won the 100k from sprint. There is a new twist for next season. "When you're voted out at Tribal Council, you don't go home. ... You go to Redemption Island and you live alone. And at a certain point in the game another person will join you. You will compete in a duel. The winner stays. The loser goes home. So you're continuing to live out there on your own with very basic supplies. But you're still in the game. And at a certain point you'll be allowed to reenter the game and have a shot at the money."Considering its going to be the 22 "season" I guess they needed another change up. Also the changes the rules that if you quit the game, then the show has the power to take you off the Jury if they feel like it. Dr T Posted December 21, 2010 Author Report Posted December 21, 2010 I have not watched it yet. I will in the next few days so I hope I don't see who won until then :) I'll post when i watch it. Quote
pam Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I am so out of it. I think I have seen maybe ONE episode of any Survivor series in all the years it's been going on. Quote
