Why aren't I excited?

So I got a message from my sister today, she got engaged yesterday, and I can't work out why I'm not excited, we knew it was going to happen sometime, but just not yet, but still I am not excited. Is there something wrong with me?

No. There's nothing wrong with not being excited about something. If you said to your sister, 'Meh. Sounds fine.' then there's something wrong with you.

If she wasn't excited, then there would be something wrong.

But beyond that, the fact that you're neutral to her marrying someone isn't a big deal.

Possibly because, as you stated, you already knew it was going to happen. Now if it was something that took you totally by surprise, you might be able to muster up some excitement or enthusiasm.

But there isn't nessicarily a reason to be excited that moves you.

Take dinner for instance, I could recognize that I should be excited that I am receiving needed nutrients that allow me to continue to sustain life, that's something to be excited about, starving sucks!

I'm still not going to get worked up about Sloppy Joes though. :)

No money is not an issue to me.

It will be a temple marriage later, he's a new convert so they can't go to the Temple yet.

Haha... no I don't have a secret crush on him.

I am more excited than I was before, I was given permission to tell others so that has helped me be excited.
