Maybe not, dahlia. I still keep in contact with the missionary who taught me when I was 8 years old (I had to wait 10 yrs to get baptized as my dad was against it). That was many, many moons ago. It can happen.

In fact, that missionary helped me financially with my mission.

Well, I am having dinner with them this weekend with a family. I will ask their names. I am so grateful that I can keep in contact with them afterward, though I imagine it will fade over time.

I am a professor, trained in the intricacies of online search. I don't teach search (yes, there are classes in that - grad level no less), but it is part of my field. Trust me, I have looked all over the internet, forwards and back for the names. :D

I don't think he was proposing Facebook as a method of gathering their names but as a method of maintaining contact.

So glad to hear about your decition! I stil am SOOOOO greatfull for my misionaries after 30 years! I don tthink it will ever wear off. Unfortunatrely I am afraid my other misionary is probably not active any more! Anyway I have not found him even though I have tried. The other I have found he is doing ok.:)
