Don't know if you are getting any coverage of this in the US (I know Canada is not hearing much about it) or if this is posted elsewhere on site but these floods are devastating Queensland. There are 70 people missing and ten confirmed dead. 200,000 people has been evacuated as the flooding covers an area the size of France and Germany combined.

The Brisbane CBD has been evacuated and the river has flooded its banks. There are flood warnings in place for New South Wales as river levels there continue to rise.

The north of NSW was flooded yesterday it is slowly moving down the coast, some say all of east coast will flood, some say 5 states will flood, QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, WA(Perth) due to the level of rain and the progression of flood waters... you might want to watch it too being so geographically close. :)

I stand corrected. A friend in Nova Scotia was saying they hadn't heard a lot about it - the congresswoman who was shot was getting more news time. I shouldn't make generalisations.
