mordorbund Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Personal experiences, when speaking about a group, are anecdotal. One can hardly use them to define the "mainstream life plan of the Church".Since this discussion was started with an informal assessment of a student ward's demographic, I think anecdotal data are fair game for this discussion. jayanna Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I would just like to say that education is important, very important, that my mother used her college education after my father died...also that I know that our prophets encourage us to continue educating ourselves, both in the home and in the classroom. I would also like to say that all the acclaim in the world, degrees, titles, and honors that we can achieve, none of them, not one can compare to the work done in the home. And whosoever would be chief among you, let him be your servant. Matt 20:27 I bet there were some who balked when they saw those fishermen drop their nets to follow Jesus. Quote
