okay so i was just talking about this on Msn and it brought up an interesting question. What do woman, younge ladies prefer, the scruffy look of not shaving, or a clean shave?

I ask since it seems to be the trend with guys now of growing there beards out!

Clean shave...who wants to go up and kiss someone and get scratch to pieces :)

I guess this depends. Some men look okay a little rugged, others do not. However, I like clean shaven for two reason--Beards are rough and scratchy and itchy, and they remind me of my dad (and why would I want to kiss my dad). Just a thought.

well Personally i prefer the scruffy look and the only reason i prefer that is because I hate getting razor burns, or razor bumps that you can get after shaving, drives me nuts

When that happens to Mr S, he says it is because the razor isn't new and the face is not damp enough. Try using shaving lotion for sensitive skin and a new disposable razor each time you shave.

I like Mr S a bit scruffy at home, but for Church it is the clean look.

My husband only uses the disposables, because all blades get dull after about the second shave. Why pay $30.00 for a razor, $12.00 for 4 replacement blades - disposables are much cheaper and that way he isn't scraping himself raw all the time.

The fresher and sharper the blade - the less razor burn, bumps and soreness.

I only shave right after a shower. While I am in the shower, I will wash my face with the shampoo lather. Using this tactic, I really don't even need to use aftershave. But I only shave twice a week.

As far as the razor goes, I use the new gilette fusion. That is the best one I have seen so far. With other razors, I had to go over my face again using up strokes the second time to get clean shaven. With the new gillette fusion, I no longer have to do that. But I can tell when it is time to change blades when it starts to pull my hair while I am shaving. But I am cheap so I will usually endure a few shaves like this before I finally decide it's no longer worth it. But I can usually make a blade last for at least three months. I tried a bag of disposables once, and I have never had such terrible razor burn in my life. It might work for some people but I sure didn't have much luck with them. Perhaps it's just because I got the wrong kind. Being as cheap as I am, I probably hunted down the bag for 50 cents at the dollar store. But regardless of what brand I got, I still would have had to go over my face twice.

i use electric first, followed by a mach3 blade while in the shower, using shampoo/conditioner for lather. blade lets me get closer to my goatee.

about every 2 weeks i use me beard trimmer set on 2 for trimming down my goatee and 'stache.

my wife hates when my trimmer slips and i'm forced to completely shave it....about once a year
