Dr T Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 A child was telling me about "this guy-Weird Al's new song." I didn't know he was still around. I was never into that type of music but I saw this video and laughed. Here is a link: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoID=1194164636Enjoy (maybe?) Quote
shanstress70 Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Yes, it's hilarious... I've seen it before. It's funnier though when you know the 'real' song that Al is making fun of. Here is a link to the lyrics (warning... may have some bad language): http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/chamillionaire/ridin.htmlThe name of the song is Ridin' Dirty, which means that someone is driving a car and has drugs somewhere on him. The song is about a guy that the cops assume is 'ridin dirty' and want to bust him. I'm not usually a fan of rap, but listen to just about everything and I have to say I like the original song. My 4 year old loves it. And no, I don't usually let him listen to that, but if I'm flipping through the channels his head will start rockin' and he gets mad if I turn it. You should listen to the original, Dr. T.And what makes Al's song even funnier is that my husband is totally that white nerdy guy! Quote

I was never into that type of music but I saw this video and laughed.White and Nerdy is a great parody music video. Here in Canada "Much Music" plays it a lot. Weird Al even asked James Blunt if he could do a parody of his You're Beautiful song; the guy's an idiot because he said "No". That's the greatest compliment to have Weird Al want to parody your song. Even Donny Osmond knows great publicity when he sees it. M. Quote
shanstress70 Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 So I guess you noticed Donny Osmond in Wierd Al's video, Maureen? BTW, have we discussed this here? Seems like it, but might have been somewhere else. Quote

Dr T Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 Thanks Shan. That is funny. He mocks the original too (somewhat). I've seen it a few times now-I still think it's funny. :) Quote
