Anddenex Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Annedex, I like your list! We had FHE last Monday and talked about it. I had my 13-year-old type a list for us too.Feel free to share what some thoughts from your list :) Quote
norah63 Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 An aunt once asked me if it was proper to start a fire on Sunday. Meaning cooking food. So I guess in older times they fixed food on the day before. The home heating fire would just not be let to go out over night. I would suppose feeding the animals would come under the "ox in the mire" part. where legalism trumps the light we have, another must sort out. If your heart doesn't condem you, then neither do I. MorningStar Posted March 5, 2013 Author Report Posted March 5, 2013 Feel free to share what some thoughts from your list :) It was very similar to yours. I said we could plan our FHE lessons on Sundays and take turns doing so. One of the kids said, "We can't teach the lessons!" I said, "Sure you can. You can read about something and then teach us."My grandma lives about 20-30 minutes away. Visiting her was an idea.Calling relatives who live far away was another, drawing, practicing music, reading lessons for the following week, doing puzzles together (my 10-year-old mentioned puzzles probably 10 times - haha), trying a new recipe together, etc. Quote
