Blessed Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 I just got through reading a very good book and I am beginning to start another one. This made me wonder how many of you are reading now too? What are you reading and would you recommend it?The book I just finished is Spirited Waters by Jennifer Hahn. It was a well written book that descibed in great detail her solo kayak journey through the Inside Passage from Ketchikan, Alaska to Bellingham, WA. It was a good read and I was also impressed as she illustrated it as well. What are you reading? Quote
StrawberryFields Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Currently I am reading LDS Talk...a few threads catch my attention, others just...don't. Seriously, reading is something I would like to start doing again after I get my house and yard all spruced up.I really enjoy reading but I just quit awhile back. About 5 months ago I went to the eye doctor and got new contact lenses, now I can see much better and may enjoy reading again. Quote
pushka Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I'm currently reading Patricia Cornwall (Cornwell?)'s investigation into Jack The Ripper where she cites Walter Sickert as the possible Ripper. It's very interesting but I'm not sure whether her 'forensic evidence' has been ruled out as proof now. Normally I read lots of James Patterson and John Grisham books. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 i'm reading "Lisey's story" by Stephen King Quote
the_jason Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I just started reading Volume 4 of The Children of the Promise. Quote
Blessed Posted April 24, 2007 Author Report Posted April 24, 2007 It seems like you all like to read fiction. I have tried many times to get into fiction writings, but I just can't seem to get into them. I like to read biographies and other non-fiction. But I guess as long as we are all keeping our minds busy... helps us somehow... ??? Quote
shanstress70 Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 I've never been a fiction reader either, but I love to read non-fiction books about whatever I'm into at the time. Now I'm reading about chickens! I'm also a magazine reader: namely Real Simple, Cooking Light, Wired. Quote
Dr T Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I usually read nonfiction books too. I've read a ton of classics and some modern fiction though. Those are really fun. They're like mind candy. Quote
