Local law enforcement found the reason for his sudden outburst when he was found in possession of the receipt with the victim's credit card information on it. Being born and raised in Oregon, I can tell you that most Oregonians love their way of thinking. Who knows what the future of attendants pumping gas, but I can tell you they will never get a sales tax passed in Oregon. I loved it when I lived in Vancouver Washington - no income tax, and shop in Oregon to avoid the sales tax. Just accross the Columbia River! LOL. Cha CHing! Quote

Those attendents need the job/money they make, even though it is not much above minimum wage. I now live in Arizona and I absolutely HATE pumping my own gas. Also my windshield, windows never get washed, nor does my oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid get checked/filled. Same with the air in my tires. When you pull into a Gas Station in Oregon it really is a Service Station. You get so much more than just gas. You get Service!You can keep your Big Gulps, over priced stale chips, ice cream bars, convience foods that are the money gouging part of the gas pits. I would much rather have an attendent pumping the gas into my car, checking the fluid levels in my engine, washing ALL of my windows and the headlights, and checking that the air pressure in my tires is at a safe level. I could soooo get into having someone else pump the gas, especially late at night when you really don't want to get out of your car.I have a cousin that lives in Vancouver and he loves it for the same great reasons!
