Indexing - what does/has your unit done for this?

What has your unit done as far as educating / motivating / rewarding the members to participate in the indexing efforts or what ideas do you have?

 

For example - 

educating: 5th Sunday combined mtg - power point presentation

motivating: e-mails/fb posts with links

rewarding: brownies for top indexer/arbitrator for the month

Indexing?  What is that?

 

 

.... I guess that means our ward doesn't do anything about promoting this.

 

 

Our ward simply encourages entering their FH names in familysearch and giving them to our youth to get baptisms done.  We hold "seminars" on how to research, organize, and how to get things into familysearch but that's not during Sunday School.  It's usually a half-day Saturday event complete with lunch and things.

My ward hasn't done anything to promote it. But I've done thousands of records of indexing.  It can get addictive after awhile.

It's a big thing here in our Stake in the Midwest. I know we have several members that do this. They have all talked about it being addicting once you get started.

During the time that I didn't have a calling, I indexed. When I have a calling, I usually don't have the time to do much with it.

 

I have no idea if our Ward has any reward system..I only knew about indexing because I was looking for some information for genealogy and came across the indexing.
