Carolyncjam Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Carolyn from Ohio. A divorced mother of two young adult children. I'm in my late 40's. I am a happy Jewish person who has had only a brief encounter with a former LDS in college. For years, when an LDS commercial came on, I was drawn, physically-inwardly. Recently I read a historic fiction book that covered the establishing of the Mormon church in Utah. Again, I felt that little something inside so I contacted, via fb and have met with several missionaries. I have been very open, but as of yet, struggle with the "Jesus" part- not meant to be disrespectful. I enjoy learning more and found this site. Looking forward to more insight. Quote

PolarVortex Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 Hi Carolyn, One of my all-time favorite episodes from the "Why I Believe" program (on the Mormon Channel) is about a lady named Sherri Palmer, who grew up Jewish in Brooklyn and later converted to the LDS Church. The title is "Hand of the Lord" and I found it fascinating. Perhaps you will, too, if you're learning more the Church. Best wishes... http://www.mormonchannel.org/why-i-believe/23 Quote
