rameumptom Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Alex Boye, LDS entertainer, rocked it on America's Got Talent tonight. I met him in 2004 at the FAIR Conference, and have watched him develop his great talent since. It is exciting to see him excite the crowds with his song " Blackmarch 1 Quote
Leah Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Thanks for the heads-up. I am in Oregon so it hasn't aired here yet. Love Alex Boye! Quote
pam Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 He nailed it. His performance was excellent. Quote
pam Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Big difference from singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. :) Quote
Leah Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I loved the performance. At first I was thinking....whoa...why THAT song? It's not really going to showcase his powerful voice. But it was so entertaining, joyful and energetic. I was really curious to hear the judges' response. I was so happy that they all REALLY liked the performance. But I am a total dork. When I first read that he was going to be on the show, I was thinking...guest artist, right? Because I'm thinking everyone has heard of Alex, right? Like I said, I am a dork. Whether he wins the whole shebang or not, I am hoping that this opportunity helps bring his musical career to the next level. So that he can do what he loves and so that more people have the opportunity to enjoy his music, his story and his testimony. rameumptom 1 Quote

I mean, I've known about Alex for years. I've met him and have him as a facebook friend. So I guess I assumed everyone knew who he was. :) I also said the same thing on facebook. That no matter what happens I hope that now more people will be aware of him and it will help to further his career and his dream. I know many I've been in conversations with on facebook had not heard of him but they started googling some of his videos. Leah 1 Quote
bytebear Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 When they started his segment, he said he was from Salt Lake, and I looked up to see who it was, and I surprised to see it was him. I thought he was a big too establised for a talent show, but I guess a lot of the acts are really looking for the break that will take them to the next level. I wish him luck. Quote
