Ok, here are the rules:

In order to post an answer to the question, one has to also post a new question.

This game is open for all, but must have specific answers, not up to interpretaion.

In other words, one can ask "Who is this quote by...?" but not "Where does it prove this doctrine?"

Must be taken from scripture, defined as Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, or D&C.

I'll start.

Who says this?

"And now who knoweth but what the remnant of the seed of Joseph, which shall perish as his garment, are those who have dissented from us? Yea, and even it shall be ourselves if we do not stand fast in the faith of Christ"

Bonus: What is the significance of the garment mentioned in this passage? Hint: it has to do with a covenant being made.

It was Moroni, who was the chief commander of the armies of the Nephites.

Significance of the garment:

Alma 21:50-51 RLDS (Alma 46:21 LDS)

50 And it came to pass that when Moroni had proclaimed these words, behold, the people came running together, with their armor girded about their loins, rending their garments in token, or as a covenant, that they would not forsake the Lord their God;

51 Or, in other words, if they should trangress the commandments of God, or fall into transgression, and be ashamed to take upon them the name of Christ, the Lord should rend them even as they had rent their garments.

My question: Who was it that, after having his head cut off, tried to rise up on his hands and fell, and after struggling for breath, died?

You guys are good!

As for the question about Solomon's wife...I thought I had the entire book of Song of Songs down pat, but obviously not. I will get back to you unless someone else does before me.

Two questions:

Who said: Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.

And who said: David's wives and concubines were given unto him by me ........and in none of these things did he sin against me save in the case of Uriah and his wife...

Who is Oliver Granger?

Posted

I'll need a little time to find a really good question but just for kicks....can anyone answer this?.............

What was Superman's cape made from?

Oh, I got one...What is the shortest verse out of ALL scripture?

Oliver Granger is the name that should be remember by all saints through the generations, and since we don't, that's proof the BoM is false...to anti's at least.

All I really know is that he's mentioned in D&C and people use him as an example of Joseph Smith being crazy, but they're interpretting the scripture wrong. Plus there's several evidences of the very same thing in the Bible. They like to hold the D&C to standards that they don't hold the Bible to.

Maybe someone else can give a better description. I've heard his name mentioned a lot from anti's in my hometown. It's actually been quite a while since I've heard about him :)

My question is...

What does Talitha mean and what scripture verse is it in?

I know this because I grew up in the south and my mother always used to say "Jesus wept!!" as an expression of aggrevation. This, in and of itself, used to aggervate my brother and I, so we decided to say "Yep! John 11:35" after each time she said "Jesus wept!!" We were stinkers!

:P

This is what daniel Rona (a Jewish Mormon) says

"Talitha Cumi—A Child Back to Life: By the time Jesus arrived to bless the daughter of the leader of the synagogue, she had died . The people laughed at Jesus when He said the girl was only asleep. He sent all the mourners away, then with Peter, James and John, “. . . he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel . . . took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi . . .” (Mark 5:40-41) The endearing term Talitha may have been Jesus’ way of saying “my little lamb,” or “curly locks” (a nickname)—and cumi in Hebrew means “get up.” "

I have never heard of that. In the scriptures it says being interpretted means "Damsel I say unto thee, arise" Talitha is my middle name, and every baby book and such has always said it means little girl (Or some variation of that)

Okay, I am familiar with the story but didn't recall that it was Ehud.

Ehud hid the knife and pounced on the fat, fat king plunging the knife in, and in, and in till the foot long blade was buried, then the hilt, and presumably Ehud's hand.
