Gabelma Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 This was our discussion inRS on Sunday and it was beautiful and the spirit was strong. Was wondering what does the word holiness mean to you and how do we practise it? Quote
CrimsonKairos Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Moroni 10:32-33 explains that we do not become holy until we've denied ourselves of all ungodliness, learned to love as God loves, and been perfected in and sanctified by Christ. Holiness is definitely a process. Quote

sixpacktr Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Pale, I too love that hymn. I think that the operative word in that hymn is "more". I think that when we reach the point in our progression where we beg the Lord for "more", where we WANT to be good instead of being compelled to do so, we are definitely on that track where we can know that the Lord approves of our life. I am reminded of Spencer Kimball's last talk before he died "Give me this Mountain". He wanted "more"... Quote
Traveler Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 I define holiness as discipline. We become holy in the same manner we learn to play the piano. The Traveler Quote

Was wondering what does the word holiness mean to you and how do we practise it?To me, holiness is doing what you feel is right, regardless of what others, and possibly even the majority of people, tell you.By the way, I like your pro-liberty franklin quote. You a libertarian? Quote
