Hi there! What would you like to talk about?

Goodness.

Do you think God only knows what goodness is, and is not good himself.

Is that not what God said to Adam & Eve.

Genisis 3

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil

I don't understand the "and is not good himself" part of the question.  Are you thinking "know good and evil" is the same as "do good and evil" or "experience good and evil" or...?  (Not saying any of those are wrong, just trying to understand this part of the question.)

God is omniscient (he knows everything).  And he is also perfect, so of course he is "good" - if I understand what you mean by that.

IMO, this verse is saying that Adam and Eve gained an understanding which they didn't have previously: namely, they learned that both good and evil exist, and to tell the difference between good and evil.  This understanding is something God has (hence, "the man is become as one of us").

Well you have the think you know something before you can act on it, so yes there the same. Adam & Eve never learned the differences between good or evil, because both cause spiritual death.
