It seems interesting, but now that I know the story won't likely play out I'm not sure I want to get emotionally invested in a story that I can't get answers to my questions...

I heard they would probably continue it on through novels. It just won't be the same.

I'm told that the BYUTV Series Extinct does this well. I haven't seen it yet, and I'm not sure I want to get invested in it since it didn't get renewed for a second season. Anyway, I was hearing that it did an excellent job of working in LDS values and teachings into the storyline.

And there was a fountain pen in one episode. :D

Sounds like a gang war.

So true. Is the book ever as good as the portrayal on screen? 😀

Blasphemy!  Books are always better than the movie.  (Well, unless the book is written by a hack.)

Season 1 ended in a cliffhanger and there (apparently) will be no Season 2.  You should only watch if you're OK with that.  NOTE: This thread is where I learned there will be no Season 2, and I didn't die of a heart attack, so watching Season 1 probably won't kill you.

I once was heavily invested in a series about sea monsters. Ended on a cliff hanger! I feel your pain.

Honestly, it wasn't painful.  John Gregory Betancourt failing to write the sequel to Shadows of Amber was painful.
