John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. vs. Alma 13 6, 16 "that they might enter into the rest of the Lord" & Moroni 7:3 "by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord, from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven." Beautifully said. When the scriptures speak of God resting on the 7th day of creation (Gen 2:2-3), it wasn't as though He took a heavenly nap the entire time. Rather, His rest consisted of working to assist His spirit children in their journey into and through mortality and beyond. So, when we enter the rest of God, it means we continue His work.
