I heard it cost $7,000,000 for a thirty second commercial in the SuperBowl this year.  (I could retire on seven million dollars for the rest of my life.)  Most of the SuperBowl ads were a reminder of how shallow and empty our society has become.  When the halftime show came on I changed the station.  We do not watch the halftime shows much anymore. 

I liked the football game.  It was a really close.  One commercial I did like was the Tubi advertisement where they were throwing people into the rabbit holes.

Always happy to see a competitive game.

Midfield paint job was dumb.

Why not? I assume she wouldn't have done it if she wasn't comfortable doing it. 

I thought the Trojan Horse commercial was good (forgot what company it was advertising though), and the Tubi TV "interruption" ad was just brilliant. Other than that, I thought the commercials were pretty underwhelming. Good game though.

My understanding is that the Superbowl organizers signed her contract before she became pregnant and that many of the behind the scenes people were upset about it.  The thing about it that was good is that it sends a very pro-life message to a massive audience.  I would bet a hefty sum that some women who have recently been considering abortion out of fear decided or will decide against it because of seeing that example.  Not that this particular performer necessarily intended that, or is generally a good role model, but that specific message was positive in the midst of a mostly inappropriate event.
