The fact you were "so incompetent" that you couldn't be a teacher, which required that you were forced to take the "lowly" position of (gasp) an engineer!!! Interesting aside: My first career choice (in 3rd grade) was to be a teacher. Later I wanted to be an architect (Brady Bunch: Mr Brady was an architect). By late high school I wanted to be an engineer. But it took me a couple more years to figure out which branch and type. I finally figured it out at the end of one semester after my mission.
