John Taylor's prophecy about the last days: Commentary by Rachael Patterson.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVSghAoWafk

She is a faithful woman who took Pres. Nelson's counsel seriously about asking women to learn more about the priesthood.

I had previously talked about the "Death of Nations" as being partially contributed to via abortion.  Rachael says that it is not just abortion.  It is women who are refusing to have children at all.  Then there are those "career women" who work long enough to "get established financiall," only to find that they cannot have children anymore.

She interprets Pres. Taylor's vision symbolically.  "Mothers sucking the blood from their children" to improve their own lives.  This is what is happening right now whenever a woman puts her own foolish priorities above that of having a family.

I was in Baltimore. In the square where the Monument of 1812 stands in front of the Charles Hotel. I saw dead piled up so as to fill the street square. I saw mothers cutting the throats of their own children for their blood. I saw them suck it from their throats to quench their own thirst and then lie down and die. The water of Chesapeake Bay was stagnant, and the stench arising from it on account of their throwing their bodies into it so terrible, that the very smell carried death with it. I saw no man except they were dead or dying in the streets and very few women. Those I saw were crazy and in an ugly condition. Everywhere I went I beheld the same sights all over the city; it was terrible beyond description to look upon.

If we look at this symbolically, we should consider the state of mind of the prophet at the time as well as the circumstances of the culture at the time.

In 1877, Baltimore was a city with a diverse population and a significant industrial presence. It was the site of a major railroad workers' strike when the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad attempted to lower wages, leading to unrest and violence. The strike began on July 20, 1877, and Maryland Governor John Lee Carroll called up the 5th and 6th Regiments of the National Guard to end the strikes, which had disrupted train service at Cumberland in western Maryland. The situation escalated when the National Guard troops fired on the crowd, killing 10 and wounding 25. This event highlighted Baltimore's role as a center of labor activism and its importance in the national labor movement.

-- Search engine results: What was the status of Baltimore in 1877?

Several search engines gave similar results.  It was an industrious city with diverse culture.  And the strike of 1877 marked the most influential social even of the period.

Chesapeake Bay is very near D.C. and was a major port of trade.  Yet it was stagnant.  DC is a cesspool of the perverted rainbow and celebration of dead babies.

I agree with Sis. Patterson when she interprets the "I saw them suck it from their throats to quench their own thirst and then lie down and die" as a metaphor for women committing abortions so they can continue their careers.  It is exactly what they are doing.

"Very few women" is both symbolic and a figure of speech.

  • Few women means fewer children and a dicontinuation of bloodlines.
  • Many women are actually men pretending to be women.  Many women have transitioned to male.  And so many women are denying their femininity.  They don't want the same rights as men. They want to be the same as men.

Men and women are different!.  We're SUPPOSED to be different.  And we're supposed to CELEBRATE those differences, and have joy therein.

I am grateful that my wife is an old fashioned woman who prioritized her family throughout our marriage.  We've raised two daughters who also honor their mother and motherhood.  My eldest son has married a daughter of Zion who also prioritizes family over career.  Right now, she has a job that may become a profession.  But they have a plan to prioritize their children's upbringing.

We will continue our Christ-centered bloodline.

I've said it before to many parties.  There is something special about the family line that I've married into.  I'm not sure how.  My wife's grandmother was a rabid feminist during WWII.  And there are all sorts of flaws among all the households.  But for some reason, we have been able to maintain our faith among all but a few of the grandchildren.  And everyone who is active is VERY active.

And all the households have (as Tucker Carlson put it) "Mormon levels of children."

As I survey all the households from the various lines, there is about an 85% correllation between the number of children and the level of activity in the Church.  That's interesting.
