I usually just go to the Sunday morning session in the chapel. The rest I wait to read in the Ensign or read on the 'net. I get too wiggly and fidgety to sit more than 2 hours at a stretch. I guess I'm still a kid at heart. ;)

sounds like a problem most of us have.....LOL!!!!!

I wake up and go downstairs and watch on tv. I'll watch the next session afterward. I get dressed up and go to the Priesthood session at church. Sunday I get up in the morning and watch the first session again. Then I'll watch whatever church documentary comes on before the next session, if it's interesting enough or I'll go online. Then I'll watch the last session and feel sad that I have to wait six months until the next one.

Sometimes I end up doing chores or am working during the Saturday session so I just pop on the earplugs and listen to the sessions on the radio while working. This weekend I'll be going out of town, so I'll tune in the car radio while we're driving out. There's no way I'll miss General Conference.

Oh, by the way, isn't it interesting that it always rains or snows in Utah every General Conference weekend? It has always rained or snowed here in Utah since I moved here back in '91, even if it only rained for a few hours. I listened to the weatherman on KSL news today try to predict sun, but his anchor partner said, "never bet against General Conference weekend". He laughed and agreed.

I watch all the sessions at home on the computer. Plus every other year we have potty trained a kid that weekend. That is what we will be doing this weekend. Plus watching conference. I love conference. Dh isn't as much into it. I think it is the sitting still for two hours. When he was in the bishopric, he would fall asleep because he couldn't get up and do anything and he didn't have kids to deal with. I was not very happy the time I walked into the meeting with the 2 year old who was no longer screaming just in time to see my 10 year old hit my 9 year old in the head with a baby doll. And there he was on the stand, with his eyes closed.

Eeeek!! Stop with the horror stories, you're putting me off!!

I recall attending GC meetings many years ago, over in the Preston Stake House. Nowadays we have to go to Chorley to watch it via satellite (I think).

I've offered to attend all, or most sessions, depending on who's taking me there, and which ones they're going to. I've never attended in Chorley before, so I'm not sure at what times the GC is showing, or whether refreshments are offered between sessions...sounds like it's gonna be an interesting weekend for me...think I'll take a supply of sandwiches, fruit and drinks for the days.

For the last few years, I have had to work during conference. I read the transcripts later on and then buy the conference CDs and listen to them on my i-pod.

Getting ready to go in a few minutes. This is my Wife's second GC, first as a member, so this morning's session will be at the Stake House. Then we can either go back for the rest, or watch it online (can't get it in cable here).

I'm watching it at home today, which means my "non-member" parents will probably do something else while it's on (like go downstairs and watch TV), so I'll be free to walk about.

Tomorrow I'm going to watch it at a friend's house.

I've only been around for 2 other General Conferences. The 1st I wasn't a member yet, but watched it at my ex-girlfriend's house. The second I was a member and was PSYCHED, and at her house again.

Seems like my tradition is to go over to someone else's place ;)

I attended the early evening session at our stake house tonight, 5-7pm, which was the 1st session of the GC, with the Solemn Assembly taking place 1st.

I did enjoy the talks, and the choir, but I was rather restless being seated on a pew for 2 hours...don't know how I'm gonna cope tomorrow, as I've offered to go from 1pm till 7pm...Now I'm wondering whether the 1pm session is just gonna be a repeat of tonight's 1st session..might have to ring around and find out, don't want to go there for a repeat, lol.

I'm terrible for yawning too, even if I'm enjoying something, if it's solemn, quietly spoken or what not, the yawns just keep on coming...terribly embarrassing!! :)
