HoosierGuy Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Great great great news! I talked with a lady at the local university. She has been talking with others in the department, they decided, since I was so close to graduating back in the 1990's, all need to takeis one class to be given a degree! They will need to ask for a waiver fromthe Dean or something but they think that will be no problem. I was toldto admit to the university and sign up for a summer class and then - get my degree!!!!!!! I am so thankful and happy! Back in December, I wanted Heavenly Father and the Lord in my life, then see about finishing my degree. I am so thankful for the Heavenly Father. Things could have gone worse. I could have had to take five or ten more classes to get my degree. I have been calling down there the last three weeks or so. Each time I call I'm real nervous because I'm expecting bad news. I was praying almost every time beforeI would call asking for the strength to call. In General Conference I heard a talk that has been ringing in my head about prayer.About how we should pray, act upon our prayers, and accept the account (Let Thy Will Be Done). Today when I called I told myself - ok Father, Let Thy Will Be Done. I called thinking of Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. I called and got the great news! After I called and got the news, I was thinking all the times the good people in the Book of Mormon were delivered from evil. I know I was delivered a little today by Heavenly Father and my Savior and Brother Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for the Prophets. I am so thankful for Nephi, Joseph Smith, President Hinckley (be a little better each day), and President Monson. I am thankful for the true church on this Earth. I am thankful and loveFather and my Savior and Redeemer. Quote
Hemidakota Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Lucky you :) Someone else must of softened their hearts. I had spent three years in receiving my Master level System Engineering from UCSD and what a pain that was. Quote
