  1. hello and welcome to the site
  2. We (the church) also believes in moderation. With any medication there can be side effects and sadly those effects don't show up until much later. I would urge you to research and not just take 20/20 word on it. One question that you might what to ask yourself (and the Lord) is.....................Is the short term gain worth the long term outcome?
  3. "I have seen nothing and heard less that indicates that all the police involved have a history of being unreasonable or irresponsible. Let us not condemn someone for being in a high speed chase when they act like they have been in a high speed chase. The Traveler " AMEN....and thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Your local branch should be able to help you. The information would be contained in your membership. Best of luck and THANK YOU for your service!!
  5. thqaAQW??????? No idea what that means???????????????????????
  6. These men will be held accountable for their actions on many many levels. BUT..............remember what they do for us. Remember who comes when we call 9-1-1. Remember they see and deal w/ the dark and evil that this world has to offer. By no means am I condoning these officers actions. However, I was not there, and I cannot/will not pass judgement when I don't have all the fact.
  7. I so wish that I had the answers you seek!! My heart both breaks and rejoyces for you. Breaks because you long for answers .....rejoyce because you have such a testimony. As stated I don't have the answers, but what I can share with you is this...................... Sometimes as difficult as it is we may never know in this life. And the not knowing is very much apart of the trial that we are asked to endure. Don't let the "not knowing" brake you because that is exaclty what Satan wants to happen. You are in my thoughts and prayers friend! (((((hug))))))
  8. Go to your Branch President. As far as letting your parents know............IMO you really should. Also you need to stop living with your boyfriend. And remember "repentance is the first emotion we feel when drawn to our Father in Heaven"
  9. Men are allowed facial hair.................I believe that only our young missionaries are to be clean shaven. Best of luck to you and please keep asking questions.
  10. This is just my take........................ He needs to give his time and his full commitment to the mission he is serving. You in MHO should be on the back burner. If he gives all of his time and talents to the Lord he will be blessed and the hurt that he is currently feeling will fade. Also in MHO I think it was wrong for him to call you on Mother's day. Just my 2 cents
  11. Its so good to have you back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I don't currently reside in Utah, but I have lived there. I do however, live in a small rural area that have extremely deep/long LDS roots. And sadly I have to say that at least here we do a lot more excluding.
  13. Do we as members of the church do more inviting or more excluding? If we were on the outside of some of the discussions (whether here on the web or at our home wards) would we want to come in and partake? Just Food For Thought
  14. ok................final thoughts................. Just got off the phone w/ a dist. center in Utah. Name and DOB is all that is needed if you don't have a current rec. or like me don't carry your member ID w/ you.
  15. I bought new garment just 2 weeks ago.
  16. Ok.....................a "current" recommened is NOT needed. You can give them you name and date of birth and they will look it up to see if in fact you are an endowed member. I was inactive for almost three years, however, I never once stopped wearing my garment. When I went to purchase new ones for me and my dh all I had to give them was my name and DOB. And I have purchased them in Idaho Falls, Logan, and Layton. However, if you have questions and concerns in your mind, I would seek council w/ the Bishop.
  17. May I add this small bit of advice..............................do service towards him. It doesn't have to be huge just small acts of random kindness towards him. You will find when you are in engaged in service that you will find it difficult to have negative feelings towards him. You may also want to find the DVD "Fireproof" it isn't LDS but it has a wonderful message. Oh....and one more thing pray for him. Wish you the best!!
