  1. I recently purchases a yogurt maker. My first attempt was utter failure, however I will try again. I have numerous digestive issues and have found that if I eat/drink a yogurt a day, my symptoms all most completely goes away.
  2. I had to add it to my page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
  4. I would do exactly what every one here has said to do. I would continue to check facebook to make sure another attempt isnt made IF it is copy EVERYTHING! I would also check myspace and other pages that she knows that you frequeant. Document, document, and document. Hang in there!
  5. I can only say I agree with what has been said. I feel for the infant. Society has changed so much and I can't help but think that it is for the worst. I have worked yrs. in a medical clinic and I have performed numerous HSG (pregnancy tests) on teenagers. I will never forget one reply to the news that it was a positive test...."well I can get on welfare now" Needless to say I was just stunned.
  6. One thing I would add is to make sure that you are not going on mission simply because you are not married. Make sure it is because you want to serve. just my 2 cents
  7. You can also find the Melatonin in 1mg ............ it is sublingual (under the tongue) and works for me.
  8. Welcome!! I am going to say ditto to Maxel and Pam about gender roles. As far as family history (grandma pushed a handcart) every family has their firsts. So you might not have a handcart company pioneer in your ancestory but remember you are the pioneer. Just like those crossing the plains were the first generation in their family so are you. Best of luck in your school!!
  9. Well, I spoke w/ both individuals today at church. In my mind I made it very clear, I guess I'll just have to wait and see how next month goes. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Thanks All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I had some wonderful visiting teachers! I have an extremely choatic schedule and they never minded coming when it was conveniant for me. Well I have new ones now. At the beginning I explained the situation that my husband works night and sleeps during the day and that I am on a rotating schedule. To make a long story short, they don't seem to get it. I have tried to explain as politely as I can that I will not have company while my dh is sleeping. It isn't fair to him. Plus they are doing the one thing that gets under my skin more then anything....dropping by unannouced! I understand that they have a calling to fulfill but to what end?????? Am I being rude and completely unreasonable??????? I ask this because I am close to asking to be removed from visiting teaching completely!!!!
  11. When I learned of it, it was in institute. The instructor made a reference to "calling and election made sure". That would explain why it isn't spoken of often and why we don't hear about it. The instructor also mentioned that this was performed to some saints before they left Nauvoo. I can't quote or offer any reference for the above.
  12. I have heard it phrased as the 2nd Endowment and to my knowledge it does exist.
  13. JHM, I just wanted to thank you for posting. We all have our individual trials/tempations....our own Mount Everest's to climb. By posting I think and believe that you have helped others on their trek.. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
  14. I would go to your Bishop..............he can help answer some of your concerns. My young brother-in-law just got back and he has OCD and is on medication. He served a proselyting mission here in the states. BTW...OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder) is considered an anxiety disorder.
  15. I can't add to what has already been spoken here.............................so (((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))
  16. I have to wonder...................is this truly a position of power? ??? I guess it depends on how you look at it. Several agencies that I am aware of hire "community service officers" to handle parking and animal issues. They write a lot of parking citations and pick up stray animals. There uniforms are very different then actual police as they are not "certified" police officers. I, myself do not have issues w/ using ex-cons, but like every one else I have issues w/ violent offenders being allowed into such programs.
  17. I think they very much are. But I also believe that should be held to same standard....... I also believe that some women are better suited then others but the same can be said of men.
  18. Other then researching the gun...........here are some very good books on the subject: "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin De Becker and "On Combat" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman Grossman also has talked about the 'sheep, wolves and sheepdog mentality' I believe you can find it on his website.
  19. Thanks PC, Sometimes I think we all get caught up on our differences that we forget our similarities.
