Bug, The truth be told, former members of the Church and those who are still members by name who frequent this board can’t get Mormonism out of their blood. It fascinates them to no end and there is a good change that any one of them will realize they are drooping in sin and will once again accept Joseph Smith as their prophet. Ok, ok, ok. I just felt like interjecting my thoughts based on some things that were said in earlier posts.What if there is no gay gene? Well then, in that case, there is no gay gene. Paul O

Be it known that, Gay people are not possessed with devils just because they have gay desires. Gays are capable of being good natured and kind as any of us and that is not a trait of demonic possession. Many gays are trying to work out their salvation in Mormonism and they attend their meetings and worship God yet they still are at odds with their sexual orientation which is that they are gay-- the devil has nothing to do with it and cannot change the sexual orientation of good men and women. The devil will however try and tempt them to give into their carnal desires from time to time. The devil is subtle but his power over mankind is limited and he doesn't have free reign to change the sexual orientation of anyone. We need to love our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters and help them feel welcomed and that they have every opportunity to integrate into the Church in every spiritual and social level. There are gays who seek to reform and yet they are still gay. Again, the devil has nothing to do with being gay. Being gay to them is just as real as being straight. A gay man hungers and craves male affection much in the same way as a straight man does a woman. The gay man is not sexually aroused by a woman's body as he is a man's. End of speech. Paul O

Antishock,You're starting to flip out. Obviously Joseph Smith wasn’t kidding and he really thought men were living on the moon; but how does that make him a liar? You said, “It was a lie”, and that just isn’t so. In order for a person to lie they have to say something that they know is not true. Joseph Smith may have been mistaken but he was not lying. Now, his opinion that men lived on the moon is not “making cr@p up but is merely expressing one’s opinion. If I lived in his day I too probably would have thought men lived on the moon. It sounds like an ok proposal for a guy who lived in the 1800’s. Anyway, your lack of tolerance towards Joseph Smith’s mistaken ideas are somewhat disheartening. Paul O

Joseph Smith was a liar. He said people live on the moon. The don't. Was he not serious? Joseph Smith made up a LOT of things. It's interesting to see his followers pick and choose which ones they can justify believing in, and which ones are just too far out there. Once a mormon realizes that the dude was just totally full of crap, it's no wonder they are pissed off about having belonged and given money to the organization that JS made up.
