I recently discovered a way you can explore music groups that you might have heard of but don't know if you'd like their style or not. Go to: http://youtube.com/categories_portal?c=10&e=1 and then type in the group into search. Many groups post their music videos there.

So how the heck does one post a photo?

Something a bit light. So what are the last CDs you have had on your Mp3 player in recent months? Personally, I am not so big on casual music. The music is on in the car or for biking and running. Here's my last few: A mixed grouping of Laibach and Faith No More. Depeche Mode Evanescence Within Temptation Several of the Rahmstein Cds Creed Def Leppard Linkin Park

I doubt if your idea of a Protestant monestary would be a good idea. I once heard a lesbian nun in an interview where she said that once she left the order her sex life decreased dramatically.

What's there to explain? Have you ever heard of a young man who commits fornication in Islam being put to death? It might happen but I have not heard of it. However, in some Islamic nations if a couple is caught in adultery both are killed. I remember reading a blog dealing with polygamy (it was Islamic) where a man put across the figure of how many single women lived in New York and probably would remain that way. His solution was polygamy but he noted that since most of these women were probably fornicators they would not be suitable for marriage to good Muslim men. Muslim men desire virgins, that's why in some Muslim countries on the wedding night all the male friends and relatives gather around the newly married couple's window and cheer for joy when a sheet is displayed showing that the hymen has been broken for the first time -- others just present the sheets to inlaws or other close relatives. Type into google or any other search engine the term honor killing and then place a predominatnly Muslim nation in the search. It occurs even in European Albania. And it is occuring more and more throughout countries with heavy Muslim immigration. The reason for jumping into this thread with this is not to chastize Muslims but to point out that many people see issues like virginity as just some trivial thing but in much of the world it is still very important. We should teach our children to remain virgins until marriage -- while if they do foul up at least here they can repent though (well, unless they get some fatal disease and die -- in which case I suppose they can get forgiveness, but they still have to suffer the physical fate).

In the Bible, if a man rapes a woman he is subject to death, but not her. If a man (married) messes around with a virgin and is caught, he had to marry the woman and not be able to divorce her ("Hey honey, guess what? We have a new addition to the marriage.). If a married man has sex with a married woman they could be stoned as a penalty. In Islamic nations if a woman is raped she is often killed by her family. Male rapists can be executed as well. If a boy loses his virginity through consensual sex it's more tolerated (in Europe many Islamic teens have sex with the native infidel blond girls but expect their Muslim bride to be a virgin). Another tragic thing is if an Islamic girl starts showing interest in a non-Islamic boy she might also get terminated.

http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/07/12/news/virgins.php Like I said, people speak of this issue as if it is historical. Honor killings are on a rapid increase throughout the western world due to immigration from the Middle East and there's no indication that they are decreasing there. Virginity can mean life or death in much of the world.

Welcome and feel free to participate often.

It's pretty important in Muslim countries. If you even give the sign of not having it you might receive an e-mail or message on your cell pnone from one of your male relatives instructing you to kill yourself -- and save him or your brothers the mess of having to do it themselves. http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/07/12/news/virgins.php

By an explosion...

PC, you don't want to get the government involved too much in this issue. Eventually, you might wind up with a Borg-like (remember Star Trek) state like Sweden: http://fjordman.blogspot.com/2005/05/is-sw...collapsing.html

You know when racial profiling is okay? It's when the Democratic Party targets non-whites for voter drives, special promises, etc. during election time. The Republicans target but that's generally based on issues -- the Democrats, on the other hand, treat blacks as if they are traitors to their race if they vote for Republicans (even black Republicans). Now that's racism.

The oldest skeletons are not in any way Indian. Check out Kennewick Man and the Spirit Cave Mummy. These bones far pre-date any Indian peoples. Also, I read a story on BBC (if I remember right) a couple of years ago that suggested the original inhabitants (or oldest) of South America were black. Perhaps they may have suffered the same fate of black peoples of Asia.

I understand. However, one could say that the American Indians had poor immigration laws and enforcement -- and look where it got them. Of course, the first peoples on the North American continent were Caucasians/whites. Later other groups wiped them out or assimilated them. Between then and now other groups landed on the shores of the Western Hemisphere (Nephites/Lamanites) and contributed to the population. Land is just where people live -- peoples come and go. The Middle East was much more racially diverse than it looks today (the original Arabs, the Afghans and Iranians and even the Jews were fairly indistiquishable from Europeans a couple thousand years ago, while Asiatic and black populations also existed as distinct tribes), Europe had different peoples three thousand years ago than we think of today, western China was inhabited by very large red-headed people, southern China was inhabited by black people -- wars, trade, importation of people for slaves, conquest and immigration changes things around. If we all had to go back to where our ancestors came from that would be extremely difficult.

Why should his ancestory be relevant?

Please elaborate what you mean by "institutional racism".

I like your last comment but you seem awful sensitive -- maybe to the extreme. Maybe masking a few dormant aspects of your upbringing that you want to hide? Freud called it "reaction formation". Lighten up and chill out -- a friend of mine (yes, who is black) jokes around all the time about race. I like his joke that he can't understand anti-semitism in the black community. He jokes that it shouldn't matter to a black man if someone is Irish, Jewish or Arab -- they are white and he should hate them equally (note: he's married to a Swede).

http://www.heraldsun.com/durham/4-751477.html This kind of stuff must really confuse liberals. I mean, aren't white people the only people who are racist in the world?

If You Did Not Know, lds Missionaries In The News

Yes there are dangers everywhere -- here's one in the USA that should shock anyone: http://www.blackamericaweb.com/site.aspx/bawnews/rapecase711 However, South Africa in the last decade has become one of the most dangerous places on earth. I would visit Iran before I would go to SA and I have been to some pretty questionable places (Caracas, Venezuela, East LA. USA...). And if you are really scared of your daughter being out at night have her go to the local sheriff's office and sign up for a concealed weapons permit. Then give her a 9mm -- lightweight and quite accurate. -

I have sent two of my sons on trips to Russia -- didn't fear for their safety at all. One of them went to China -- again, no fear. One of my other sons visited the Ferel Islands and Iceland, no fear either and my oldest worked on a cruise ship and visited Honduras, Ireland, Germany and a bunch of other places. If my oldest daughter were 10 years older and wished to visit any of these places I wouldn't mind. If on the other hand she wanted to visit South Africa I think I'd lock her up in her room until she changed her mind. -
Seems ironic doesn't it? If you investigate the guests on Jerry Springer they are pretty much legit.

Gotta disagree with you Jason -- one has to investigate motives of writers as an aspect of source criticism (one of the foundations of analysis). If someone writes an article about intelligence being higher in whites than in blacks, and you find out that beyond his PhD in neuropsychology he is a grand wizard in the KKK, would you trust his work is objective?
