Ok ... here goes....... Is it so very inportant that this is real or not???? that it really happened???? The story and the message behind it are very inportant... isn't that what we should be looking at and not whether it really happened or was added fiction........ I know it is interesting to find out the facts but they sometimes take away from the message itself..

Did anyone see the Kentucky Derby????? To see a 50 to 1 shot come up from behind was so awesome........ I just loved it.......

That is what I like about your posts even though I do not agree always... I love being motivated to think...... to research and to learn more..... You may ruffle some feathers but I think it is a good thing I appreciate the fact you take the time to answer even the simplest questions ( mine).. I finally feel comfortable with believing in the church and being able to question things or try to understand them. Thanks

talisyn.... when I was inactive and a bartender I saw the way people were so foolish with their money gambling.... My answer was to just spend 3$ ... if I win great and if I loose well 3$ isn't so much.. It use to make my boss so mad because sometimes I won alot and only re-invested my 3$ I was lucky that I could set a standard for myself and stop that way so many don't, but.. As I have grown in the gospel and seen more of the damage done by gambling in our state... I don't even do that.......... I have a question are raffles gambling???

Watching the horse races isn't wrong. Those wonderful animals really love what they do. Like watching the human athletes compete, we can be inspired by them. talisyn I so agree I just wondered...... I love the horse races and my daughter is in track soooo inspiring

Gambling generally denotes someone winning money and someone losing money. Casinos are setup to take your money, if it were not so they would not be in business. For every big winner, there are a thousand losers. In every gamble there is someone hoping the other side loses. Investing in stocks generally denotes investing a stake in a company. When business is good, and the business is run correctly, profits can be made for everybody involved. __________________Pale this reminded me of an incident when I was inactive and my 20's.... I was at a bar where a band was playing...... I saw a man who just didn't fit .... I mean he looked alright..dressed like all the other guys but he just glowed..... To my surprise he was a return missionary...... boy did that put a damper on my evening.. :} I enjoyed talking to him but lost my desire to drink or stay much longer..... I felt God was just sending me a gentle reminder to what I really should be doing..... The RM was not drinking... but I was and suddenly I felt so bad for it ... little things like this have happened to me my whole life when I need a push in the right direction .... any way had to share.

In my mind reading the origional version I think what Jesus did had a profound influence on the woman. So the inspired version only confirms what I already felt...

This seems like a sticky area to me ... Horse racing... My in-laws raised race horses and raced at Portland Meadows.... I have always been so impressed with all the hard work and dedication it took....These horses love to race so is their running/racing wrong and if it is then football, basketball, etc..etc.. should be wrong... for the gambling part

Ok life is hard ... you can't give up.... you have to make the decision that is right for you... just you not some cookie cutter answer that fits everybody........ You have to look at things from all sides... debate all outcomes in your own mind then you will see clearer..... For me the church is true... wow and saying that it dosen't help your problems magically easier...... mine either..... So I can't give you answers I can say I hope you don't give up on the church ... you are a child of God . We all agreed to come to this earth to accept the challenges we are faced with , we have to trust in God .. his infinate wisdom , he will not give us more than we can handle. We will find answers we just have to look and pray......... and most important believe...... blessings and peace to you

I guess but I have seen many times on this forum folks reading more in to what was posted than what was ment.. I have been guilty of it also and am now trying not to jump to conclusions about people..... On this thread I know Snow needs no help from me he is very capable of handling the situstion..... the name calling was what really bugged me....

some of the posts are kind of harsh....... the church is doing the best it can in a really bad situation... the whole immagration thing is a mess and the laws are less than fair.... Now it is all messed up with homeland security so young members who have lived here USA all their lives are at risk... I do not see what the church did wrong...

Reguardless... you have your opinion and he has his.... my objection is when you called him or what he did sick......... you have a right to your opinion but name calling is so beneath us all on this site... thats all ....... You can say I do not agree with you... that would be more appropriate now wouldn't it. We need to keep personal atttacks out of it after all this is just healthy debate and that is what Snow loves to do....... :] Peace

Thank you for talking to me I have no problem with the church itself in fact it is one of the few things I have absolute belief in , but I to question things not as eloquetly (sp) as you but never the less I have my questions ....... I now can read your posts with a deeper understanding..... Thank You

ok so do you believe in the church even with all the errors of men????? just curious I always have questions about what I read but I never doubt the core of the church.... also I do not always appreciate some of the people but I know / believe not blindly the church is true.
