In-law? Blood relative of Terri?
-
Well I guess you can't rape the willing but still, should he be forced by a court to pay child support if he chose to have the child in the first place yet was underage at the time of conception and birth?
-
I'm curious, is there anyone here that would choose to keep the feeding tube in assuming they were in Terri's position? And if not, then why would you think that Terri, herself, would want to. And remember, even if she can think, she hasn't been able to do anything for the past 15 years. Just watch people do stuff with her and not be able to give them any kind of sign that she can think. She must be pretty freakin' bored right now.

Dude, seriously, I don't know. If I was a judge, I'd want to throw a wrench in the works and force the kid to pay child support. We have plenty of cases with precedence. That is there are many cases where a man who didn't want to be a father had to pay child support for his kid. That's my thoughts. It helps if you post yours too or don't at all.

Bulemics get some nutrition however. Their stomach does absorb a little bit when it hits their stomach and not everything comes out. Anorexics barely put anything in.

I got to thinking about Mary K. Laterno and that Billy kid. Here's just a general, hypothetical question. If a man were to be raped and a child was born from that, is the man financially responsible for the child as in child support? Is the same true if the man is a minor?

You are calling him sadistic, controlling, and a freak in addition to squandering money. Do you have any hard evidence or facts that show this?
-
That article is very one-sided. Is that where you're getting all your information? From people who aren't able to write a fair review of the situation or explain possible reasonings for the other side that don't put him in a bad light? Your article holds no sway until you can bring forth one that offers the same information but presents the case and both sides of it in a fair light.

I think TS is just an attention whore. He thinks that his nuclear waste is so much better than everybody elses and that it's going to be the stuff that's targeted by terrorist bombs compared to other nuclear storage facilities around the US.
-
We have yet to deal with a nuclear accident that is so phenomenal to take action to prevent it in the future. Just relax, and let come what may.
-
You don't want to store all your eggs in one basket. If terrorists want to radiate an area would it be better to have all the radiation in one place so one bomb can blast it to smithereens, or should we spread the waste out so it takes more bombs to destroy the same amount of nuclear waste? It's probably due because of efficiency. It keeps terrorists from efficiently harming us. If we put all our nuclear waste in just one place, it wouldn't take much to blow the place to bits. But if each city has a little bit of nuclear waste then it's sort of pointless to blow one of them up. Also, space is a good place for nuclear waste. But we got to think about what starts to happen when we take matter from the Earth and put it into space where we'll never see it again. At least it's possible in the future that we can learn how to alter atoms and turn this waste into something helpful. That is, we might learn how to recycle our nuclear waste. And if you've seen that Futerama episode, it might be a bad idea to put all our junk into space, because then it might all clot up together and come back to us and crash into the Earth and destroy all life as we know it.

If it is such a big deal to you, where do you think it should be placed? Do you believe that Utah was the first destination thought of just because "Mormons" lived there? Do you think no other factors made the site better than most sites for storage?

Anything active will help more than just sitting around at home in front of your computer or television.

According to how I understand the statement, the containers are made to hold high level radioactive waste. Just because waste is put in there doesn't mean it's high level. And even if it is, the storage facilities are designed to hold it so why worry? And why would terrorists want to bomb some storage tanks when they can blow up the capital?
-
Nah. You can still put it inside metal containers. As long as the radioactivity can't escape or anything. Rock formations are just one of the better ways to use space and it's mainly advisable for long term storage. Imagine how long dinosaur bones existed in the ground before we even discovered them. That would kind of be like the nuclear waste. If it's in the rocks then it won't bother anyone.

Nothing wrong with that. It's quite swell if you ask me (just finished watching Pleasantville. Gee golly, I love saying swell!)

Don't worry about calories and fat grams. It's not important. Your hunger will take care of all the calories and fat grams. It will signal to you (always since it's very consistent) when you need more calories. If your stomach isn't grumbling, you don't need more food. I'm not calling you overweight by saying this. I'm only saying this, because this is what will cause you to lose the weight on your body that your body doesn't need.

I'd rather be shot in the head than die through starvation. At least the gun makes it quick and less painless.

It's probably insignifigant waste. Nuclear waste can be generally classified a either "low level" radioactive waste or "high level" radioactive waste. The level of radioactivity and the half life of the radioactive isotopes in low level waste is relatively small. Storing the waste for a period of 10 to 50 years will allow most of the radioactive isotopes in low level waste to decay, at which point the waste can be disposed of as normal refuse. High level radioactive waste is generally material from the core of the nuclear reactor or nuclear weapon. This waste includes uranium, plutonium, and other highly radioactive elements made during fission. Most of the radioactive isotopes in high level waste emit large amounts of radiation and have extremely long half-lives (some longer than 100,000 years) creating long time periods before the waste will settle to safe levels of radioactivity. Short term storage will reduce the radioactivity of spent nuclear fuel significantly. A ten year storage can bring a 100 times decrease in radioactivity. Radioactive material decays in an exponential fashion, thus a reduction of radioactive emissions, similar to that of the first 10 years, would take another 100 years of storage. Storing the waste for at least 10-20 years is highly beneficial. The reduction in radioactivity makes handling and shipment of the waste possible. Long term storage in a rock formation, on land, is the most likely solution for high level radioactive waste. The radioactive material would likely undergo vitrification and then be buried in caverns, created in a large rock formation. When use of the storage area is complete, it would be sealed again with stone. While still extremely expensive, and not considered as safe, in the end, as the some other methods of storage, it is the most viable storage option currently available.

The spirit doesn't have a body that can think properly and might not even understand pain. Has anyone taken a needle to her toes yet and see if she still reacts?
-
What's in the nuclear waste? What's the half-life of the most dangerous parts of the waste? And what method is going to be used to store it? Is it going to be used at all in one of those half-nuclear power plants?
-
The government isn't going to knowingly radiate the populace. Relax buddy.

Sounds like you watch TV when you eat. Or do stuff on the computer. Or don't eat at a dining table in silence.

Her spirit doesn't have a working body that can feel or think properly.

I'm just saying that it's hard to be able to find good ways to strengthen your muscles without going to a gym. Sure, you can buy your own equipment but it's much affordable to go to a gym. You seem so concerned with losing "weight" but I'm pretty sure you're more concerned over losing "fat." The simplest and most long term way is by gaining muscle which increases the rate that your body burns calories each day (meaning you can eat more to maintain your current state of weight or eat the same and slowly lose weight, weight meaning fat). Or maybe you want to look like what the models in the magazines and the women on TV look like. You don't actually have to lose fat in order to reach that state. But you do need to gain muscle. Muscle gives your body curves, feminine curves, and helps make the presence of fat on your body not look as bad than if you were to not have the muscle. Running is also important to for a variety of reasons. Plus it helps with any calories that you might have eaten that day and helps increase the amount of calories you burned that day. But the most important thing is muscles. You can diet and run all you want, but you'll never really look "good" until you start building your frame through strength training/weight lifting. I, personally, know what it takes to lose weight and become more fit and athletic. Two years ago I attempted to join the Marines but they told me my height to weight ratio wasn't right and I'd have to lose weight. So for the past 2 years (2 years this May, actually) I've been working my butt off, trying to eat right, follow my hunger, and build muscle in order to lose weight. And right now, I look pretty freakin' good. And because I've lost enough weight, they accepted me into the Marines and I'll be leaving for bootcamp April 4th. There, I'll basically spend 3 months constantly working out and running. Now imagine an obese guy and a Marine. That's what two years of effort brought me. I say go to the gym since you can do everything you need to do there even if the weather is bad outside (which might keep you from running). Also, one of the problems with people being obese is that they don't listen to their hunger, that little feeling in their stomach that makes their stomach hurt when they are hungry. Obese people are afraid of this pain and so they eat before they have a chance to feel it. Don't! Your hunger is the best help you'll ever get as to losing weight. Try something. Do not eat or drink anything except water until you feel your stomach start to hurt. Wait until it starts grumbling (it will always grumble). Then go eat and just eat enough to make that hunger go away. That's what the thin people do.
