It really all depends on your advisors, I think. Mainly their willingness to listen to your ideas is what makes at least YM enjoyable.

I'm sorry if I might have derailed this post, but I was only making my comments in defense of the men who aren't ready to start a family yet. Like these men, I don't want responsibility forced on me, or extra taxes (called child support) leveraged against me. On the west coast, mainly in California and Washington, there is a serious problem with women who try to have children because they want to start a family and cannot be reasoned with. Men who just wanted to have a little fun get sucked into a whole world of responsibility which they never wanted in the first place. If you doubt me, look at how many single mothers live in Seattle. There's something queer (strange) going on there. Curvette, my right hand doesn't take care of my physical need for companionship.

I don't want children for reasons I haven't mentioned, it's not a responsibility issue. Hey now, why is it men that get blamed for not keeping our pants up? The women involved didn't keep theirs up either so why not blame them too? And "keeping your pants up" doesn't help you to get rid of the reason you pulled them down in the first place (that is it doesn't help you to get off). ABSTINENCE DOESN'T WORK, PEOPLE!!!

You're not in a cult. Just because you're part of a church that uses cult-like actions to enlarge the population of the church doesn't mean you actually are in a cult (or at least not until we all sacrifice our lives to Baal). Ha! They just don't understand. Suck it up, and don't talk about it. Don't say anything to them when they make statements to you. Only talk about the church when they specifically ask about it. And if they ask you if you know you're a member of a cult, just tell them no, they brainwashed you too well.

If anti-mormons are so bad and so feared, then they obviously know some truths we don't. Why not hear them out and figure out where they are wrong, rather than believe them to be wrong in the first place? Denying yourself access to knowledge kind of hurts you in the long run, don't you think?

Men need to stay away from single mothers for reasons I've mentioned before. Young women without children are prized more as mates rather than most mothers. There are a few mothers that are probably worth going after, but none the less, men should stay away from single mothers because there is probably some guy out there paying for her kid. Some guy obviously got her pregnant and she decided to not abort. If you start doing things with her and hanging with HER child, precedent has already occurred in Wisconsin (I believe) and California where a male who was dating a mother was forced to pay child support for the child since he had taken a fatherly role to the child, although had never married or ask to marry the mother. The main reason to stay away from mothers: you already know her stance on abortion. SHE WON'T HAVE ONE! This last election an initiative was placed on the ballet which would add an additional .25% to sales tax, making it an even 8% here in Southern California. The extra money gained would go to help children's hospitals, you know the hospitals that are filled with the most pathetic children in the area (pathetic meaning sickest). Anyways, only 13% of the voters said yes to this. The remaining 87% said (through their vote) that an additional penny per every 4 dollars they spend on non-food items is too much money to spend on children even if they are ill and sick and dieing and in constant pain and agony. Now, would you vote yes on a measure which raised the taxes like that where the money went to help out single mothers by giving them free clothing and food and other things which a child needs? Obviously not, or at least 87% of you wouldn't. So why do you think it's ok for a man to pay a woman money each month to help raise a child? Oh wait, I know why. It's because you're parents and you'd want a free handout if you were the only one supporting your child. I've seem to moved this thread in a different direcition than it started but I'm pretty sure everyone has had their say on abortion.

Sometimes, during that one moment of selfishness (good points Jenda), we get cold and there is no other way to warm ourselves up then to light a fire (this is an analogy if you haven't figured it out). Usually this doesn't happen. A selfish woman (she was selfish before I even met her) decides that she wants a family, a kid, a husband, the whole shehbang. She wants to have the child anyways, and doesn't care about our opinions, she thinks we'll stick with her when she has the baby because since we're so good to her, we'll obviously do the right thing and stick with her. Men in this situation (who don't want children), have no recourse other than to tell the woman that their dream of a family cannot happen at this point in time. They (the man) want children but not at this point in time and as long as the woman waits to have children, they will stick with them to the end. The man would also tell the woman that they will leave if the woman has a child, thereby preventing her from having her "family" (husband, wife, and child). Should the woman have the child, her dreams of having a family at that point are ruined. No self-respecting man will take up a single mother! If he respects himself, he'll find and marry a fresh and clean woman with no "track record." If the future father convinces the mother to have the abortion then he can take her to McDonald's, buy her an Egg Mcmuffin and dump her since he (if he respects himself) should be with someone that isn't so dangerous to be with (paying $400 a month for 18 years, can really harm a young man's future). At least that's what I would do. Personally I don't want children. And I don't understand why people don't realize that they can be happy WITHOUT children.

Try moving on. The best man for you is a man who actually WANTS TO BE WITH YOU. Just like all the other women, trying to change a man and make him what he isn't. He obviously likes someone better than you. He probably won't go after you until he's done with this girl, although even then he'll probably look for someone else rather than you.

One moment is a whole lot better than a lifetime of selfishness like a woman would have when she chooses to have a child even though the father said he would not help raise the child.

Sadly the world doesn't work that way. It's all up to the women, the women get the power. The only thing we can do to help mankind in general is to leave any women that have children which we don't want. It's either the children or us. But we're screwed doing this too, because then the court slaps on 18 years of child support.

Actually I personally think "deflowering" means to take away the innocence of someone. To make a non-sexually active person realize their sexual potention and give them that drive to exploit it. But that's just me. It makes it possible for men to deflower younger boys with that definition.

If "deflower" refers to the breaking of the hymen as "Mary was deflowered when her hymen was broken" then it's safe to say that a girl is "deflowered" sometimes when she goes horse back riding or runs really hard or exercises or jumps a lot. So, if that is the case, then it's safe to say that my 3-year old cousin was deflowered when she rode the horsie at her birthday party.

The man also shouldn't have to to change himself either. If a man has unnattractive qualities (like disrespecting you or other stuff) it is not in your position to ask him to change. Nor should he change "because he loves you." You chose him, and you need to deal with it. If you don't like it, then go get another man that does have want you want. Women that nag their men to change are too lazy to go find another. Sorry if this got too off topic. Oh yeah, PBA's are wrong.

From my experience, more women are "selfish" than men are pigs. More women bring a child into this world who's father doesn't want them. And why should a woman who makes a mistake, like forgetting birth control, make another mistake as to bringing an unloved child into the world? Sure you women might call it love, but then again, when you were little girls you loved your "dollies." That's all you want, a free "dollie" who isn't a toy.

Franken is just like all the misguided, middle eastern women out there (who focus on the sexual content and drugs rather than the core gameplay). I won't go into that however. At work today, we received in 60 copies of GTA, 9 of which were presells. Throughout the evening, I sold 4 presells, and 51 copies of GTA. Just in 9 hours! Two years ago, we received in 80 Vice City's which took a week to sell out. What's important to realize however, is that many of the people I sold it to were children, who's parents I had to talk to in order to sell them the game (that's the policy at TRU). None of the parents (not one!) cared about the "Blood and Gore," the "Intense Violence," or the "Use of drugs." Most of the children of the parents and I were able to allay any misgivings for the "Strong Sexual Content" as that isn't nudity. Just like Vice City it's mostly a strip club where the girls don't touch the guys and don't take their clothes off. Most of the parents had problems with "Strong Language" even though the words that would be spoken are heard by the children EVERY SINGLE DAY at school, going as low as 6th grade for middle schools that teach 6th, 7th, and 8th graders together. Now, I really don't have much time to talk about this, as I bought my copy and want to play it. And if Fraken is right about this game, I just spent $50 to go pick up a prostitute, take her into a dark alley, watch my car bounce up and down, and then shoot her so I have more money to go get another hooker. Ya right! At least all you Mormons can be relied upon to put down what you don't understand or know about (Franken proving my point, obviously). I'm not stupid enough to buy a game just so I can watch a car bounce up and down, while the money in my wallet dwindles.

Going through a pregnancy can ruin a woman's looks. She can gain weight that she'll never, ever be able to lose. She'll look different than if she had had the baby, and she'll never ever be able to look as good as she would have had she not had the baby. Hence, it makes adoption not such a good idea either since it would be bad for the woman to go through the pregnancy in the first place. Plus, birthing a child and giving it away causes a lot more emotional stress than aborting a fetus. And neither religion or science have ever proven when life begins in the womb [now where I have I read that?]

I meant that a children should be raised properly, by parents who are capable of being parents, and by parents who are together in a marriage. A child should not have to go through life in a single parent household (it leads to people like me!). It is best for all parties to abort the child early (and avoid any stigma received from late-term abortions) and wait until all parties are ready (financially, emotionally, and stablely) for the child. And some people just don't want kids.

I was in both marching band and sit-down band, but it was the sitting down that I liked. It sucks holding on to that susaphone and blasting like crazy while it digs into your shoulder. And it's not like they make different sided ones. At least it doesn't hurt as much once you've bruised your left shoulder enough to dig a groove in there to rest the susaphone. But I like playing tuba better because you can have more control and be more relaxed.

You're just like the people that changed the bible, you say that killing a man in self defense is ok even though the bible strickly forbids killing a human being (thou shalt not kill). If abortion is ok in cases of rape and incest then it is ok in all cases. Get your thoughts straight and get on one side of the fence or the other.

By the way, Franken, if GTA is demonic for you, you should try Manhunt.

You think it's bad because the content is bad. You are like the people that want the statue of David to wear boxer shorts because it's such a good portrayal of the male body. But then you would argue to those people that David is artwork. That's what GTA is, it's art. Sure you might not like it, but I can find 7 million people (at least!!!) across the world who will think differently. GTA is a game that has a quality that not many other games have, fun! Please play the game first for at least an hour before you decide you don't like it. It's a wonderful game, and you can't help but love it. GTA is artwork, and needs to be played before it can be fully appreciated.
