  1. RayRay, I agree w/ Anne! I would encourage you to tell the Bishop and ask for his confidentiality. Things are going well now (lets hope/pray that they continue!!) but things can change and you just might need your ward family. Also by letting the Bishop know...you have added one more person offering prayers on your behalf. Good Luck Dear Sister!!!!!!!!
  2. Sorry. Habbit..L.E.O Law Enforcement Officer
  3. I'm going to add my 2 cents. First off you need to understand that I've been around guns my entire life. I hunt. I am married to a LEO. My husband carries all the time. I don't have my concealed weapons permit YET but I plan on it. I believe that there are "sheep, sheepdogs, and wolves" in our world. Please read http://www.gleamingedge.com/mirrors/onsheepwolvesandsheepdogs. I for one am thankful for the "sheepdogs" in this world! Just my 2 cents!
  4. Is there any one here that has experiance w/ old homes? We just looked at a home that was built in 1885.....long story short I love it. DH (dear husband isnt to sure). It "supposably" underwent major upgrades in 2000....which it looked like that is correct. We have only walked through the house once. Is there any suggestions, information that some one in the know would be willing to share...I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!
  5. Ok.....just going to ask... Do people really swim in these??
  6. Just my 2 cents.... It really comes down to personal preference. If you were happy/comfortable w/ the Ruger then by all means go back to it. I was raised around revolvers and much more confident w/ them. However since marrying my hubby (law enforcement) I now prefer the semi-auto.
  7. **The reason I started this thread is to not discuss homosexuality...as it is a heated and very emotional topic. With that being stated Mods....IF this is not appropiate please remove** Kirk Cameron provokes with anti-gay comments - msnNOW Whether or not you agree with Kirk I for one have to respect him for standing up for his beliefs when it simply isn't popular to do so.
  8. I am going to go out on a limb here and share my 2 cents..... In my life time I have found individuals who search for one "bad" (for a lack of a better word) thing and then they hold tight to that one thing. Nothing else matters but that one thing. IF there is a "bad thing" then by all means everything else has to be questioned. I don't know the reason for the ban and perhaps (at least for me) my salvation isn't dependent upon it. What I do know is that black, brown, yellow, orange, blue, red, and white all are my brothers and sisters. My 2 cents.
  9. On 12-31-11 our little miracle arrived!!!!! He is healthy and his Mom and Daddy couldn't be happier!!! I cannot explain how long my arms have ached to hold this little one and I can honestly say that I feel complete! I can honestly say he was worth the wait!!!!! Confuzzled (aka Momma)
  10. I did theatre in college and luckly I didn't have to kiss any one. But in MHO it truly depends. IF the actor/actress is married is their spouse ok w/ it?? IF not then red flags. Also it is the actor/actress' job to become that character on that stage and only on that stage but once beyond the proscenium it is the real world again. Now don't get me wrong...IF it is beyond a kiss/a hug/ a handhold...it isn't appropriate. Porn should not and isnt art.
  11. I'll add my 2 cents... I have assisted w/ numerous IUD insertions both the Mirena (which has the hormone) and the Copper T which does not. Because these are placed in women who are NOT pregnant I have no issues with assisting. IF they were ever placed w/ the knowledge that the pt was infact pregnant I would not assist the physician. Just my 2 cents... Confuzzled
  12. Hello and wecome back!
  13. Hello and welcome to the site!!
  14. here is my 2 cents......... IMO it comes down to agency and the line that just because you can doens't mean that you should. On the flip side........ I wasn't "wired" to be able to get pregnant so does that mean that I shouldn't be a mother?!?! Again it comes to agency and a whole lot of time on ones knees. To pursue infertily treatment, adoption, or to choose to live w/out children is a personal choice betweent the couple and the Lord.
  15. Hi all we are in the process of child-proofing our home. We need to get a gate to our staircase. I would prefer one that we don't have to take down each time we go to the basement. Our staircase is also fairly wide as well. Any suggestion would be great!!
  16. Hello and welcome!!
  17. Just for every ones info...... Yes there is a vaccine it is called Varicella. It is a two series shot. The first is "suggested' at 12 mo. and the 2nd at age 4 or 5. However children can still get the chicken pox if they get vaccinated .... however it is "usually" fairly mild. IF the child get the chicken pox before the 2nd vaccine is given they do not need the 2nd vaccine. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-varicella.pdf Also there is a vaccine for Shingles which "is caused by the Varicella Zostervirus, the same virus that causes chickenpox" http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-shingles.pdf

  20. Hi and welcome to the site!
  21. it looks like I am going to be a MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If all goes as planned my wonderful DH (dear husband) and I will be proud parents to a little boy in January!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been chosen by a birth couple!!!!!! We have been married for +10 yrs and I can honestly say that infertility has been the most difficult trial of my life. A year ago I had slammed the door shut on ever being a mother and was in the process of coming to terms with being childless. When an email was rc'd and here we are.
  22. I have done several treks and I honestly think that I could physically have done it. Has far as falling away or not....... I think we all have our own personal trek and IF I was to compare mine to those of these saints then I did in fact fall away. I was inactive for several years. The reason at the time seem valid, it simply hurt too much to go. How easy it would of been for those early pioneers to say "It hurt's too much to go!" They endured not only emotional pain but they had the physical pain as well and yet they continued on. I did not.
  23. Hi and welcome to the site!!
  24. I agree Loudmouth infact I agree 100% and I guess what I didn't express is that I did tell my nephew that I still love him and I always will. I also still very much believe that he has the potential to do what I do and be even better at it ..........but.................. if he doesn't change his behavior/actions that path will be closed. That is and was the point I truly hope came across.
  25. Loudmouth..... Yep you understand correctly. Plus the fact that IF he does get himself into legal trouble (MIP & DUI & poss. public intox charges etc...) he wouldn't pass a background investigation.
