I have trouble with tolerence sometimes as well.

I was thinking the same. I don't know of any other scripture that explains so well, the most important event that took place on this planet, during those last few days that Christ endured.

This statement would apply to several here. Just a thought...It has been said that Jesus was a perfect man, lived a perfect, sinless life and yet He did not have all knowledge or power. So perhaps the word perfect can be used for the church as well or maybe we need to check the total meaning of every word and explain which one were refering to, making these posts even longer.lolol

Joined about 35 years ago and was not into computers until not too long ago. If it was not official doctrine or history, chances would be almost nil that it would have been taught in church.

It's a falsehood if you think being saved in 2 different religions will better your chances.

I've been a member for over 30 years and I've never heard of this till now.

The missionaries are instructed to teach the church is perfect but the people of course are not. The word church can be used in many different ways that it is almost senseless to discuss at times. To me the church is perfect because of its teachings, its doctrine, its authority, not because of administration.

It's true new doctrine would not come like this but have you ever heard anything during a general conference that is not true?

@ Finrock..There are different meanings to the word church and one of them is the people. I know your using it as another meaning of which you are correct.

There are countless ways the Spirit administers to people. The scriptures speak of many and there are many more.

A lot of people like the easier way of living and will only do what is neccessary to survive half decently. This kind of attitude is found in many religions, particularly the ones that do not believe works are needed. I myself would like it a lot if it were ok to pick and choose what to believe in scripture, but it just is not reality.

Technology has been available for years to make many things last much longer then what they do. Most if not all of these things have been tossed aside, either because of greed or it would harm the economy, not everyone wants to be a farmer. It wouldn't surprise me the same goes for computers.

...This is probably true because so many religions pick and choose what they will or will not accept from the bible.

I've been running a pc since the 98 days playing some extremely graphics hungry games online and such and have not experienced hardly any of the negatives mentioned in this thread. Two viruses in 12 years and I usually don't use any anti virus progs, I don't call a problem. I am also one who likes to treat the pc as a hobby.

This reminds me of Job's huge worry that God would not continue to protect him. The end result was he had a lesson to be learned. When were feeling just wonderful its sometimes easy to worry about the opposition.

Donno if this well help at all. I have read that the more obedient pre-existant spirits are placed through the blood lines of Israel to a certain extent.
