Man won't submit to security, TSA won't let him fly. Who's right?

Yeah, let's not do it the right way. Let's do it the government way. Care to explain the gas chambers relevancy? Never mind there isn't any. -

Darn, I couldn't choose Thanks and Laugh so here's both! THANKS AND LAUGHS -
My advice would be to get 2 survival books and put one in the 72 hour kit and keep one for yourself. Mine contains useful information for short and long disaster/survival skills and tools. You may also get an idea of anything that needs to be added to the 72 hour kit such as magnesium fire starters.

Yes, just ask my good buddy who died with only 1/3 of a brain because Atomic testing was deemed safe, oh yes PCBs and DDT and abestos all deemed safe. "Let's put it this way," said the TSA's Melendez, "We would not put a piece of technology in an airport if it was dangerous to passengers and if it was dangerous to our workforce. The emissions from that technology are less than [what] anyone would get from just a basic cell phone conversation." He added that the technology does not penetrate the skin. How many times have I heard this in my career, military and civilian. Same old smear job get's tiresome. We all know that the answer to as to whether cell phone are safe is still out. Oh yes Avandia was safe as was aspartame. Believe your government who doesn't even have the ability to run a business with profit. As far as scanning pilots what are you going to do find a gun? I hope so. If a pilot wants to bring a plane down, nothing you can find in a scan will be discovered as an extraneous weapon or explosive is not needed. I for one don't want pilots I have to depend on getting scanned once or twice a day everyday which would not result in any security benefits. Positive ID yes, scan no. -

Just Something to Consider! Dr. Blaylock: Body Scanners More Dangerous Than Feds Admit Wednesday, November 24, 2010 9:58 AM By Dr. Russell Blaylock Dr. Russell Blaylock is a nationally recognized board-certified neurosurgeon, health practitioner, author, lecturer, and editor of The Blaylock Wellness Report. The growing outrage over the Transportation Security Administration’s new policy of backscatter scanning of airline passengers and “enhanced pat-downs” brings to mind these wise words from President Ronald Reagan: “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.’” So, what is all the concern really about — will these radiation scanners increase your risk of cancer or other diseases? A group of scientists and professors from the University of California at San Francisco voiced their concern to Obama’s science and technology adviser John Holdren in a well-stated letter back in April. The group included experts in radiation biology, biophysics, and imaging, who expressed “serious concerns” about the “dangerously high” dose of radiation to the skin. Radiation increases cancer risk by damaging the DNA and various components within the cells. Much of the damage is caused by high concentrations of free radicals generated by the radiation. Most scientists think that the most damaging radiation types are those that have high penetration, such as gamma-rays, but in fact, some of the most damaging radiation barely penetrates the skin. One of the main concerns is that most of the energy from the airport scanners is concentrated on the surface of the skin and a few millimeters into the skin. Some very radiation-sensitive tissues are close to the skin — such as the testes, eyes, and circulating blood cells in the skin. This is why defenders using such analogies as the dose being “1,000-times less than a chest X-ray” and “far less than what passengers are exposed to in-flight” are deceptive. Radiation damage depends on the volume of tissue exposed. Chest X-rays and gamma-radiation from outer space is diffused over the entire body so that the dose to the skin is extremely small. Of note, outer space radiation does increase cancer rates in passengers, pilots, and flight attendants. We also know that certain groups of people are at a much higher risk than others. These include babies, small children, pregnant women, the elderly, people with impaired immunity (those with HIV infection, cancer patients, people with immune deficiency diseases, and people with abnormal DNA repair mechanism, just to name a few). As we grow older, our DNA accumulates a considerable amount of unrepaired damage, and under such circumstances even low doses of radiation can trigger the development of skin cancers, including the deadly melanoma. I would also be concerned about exposing the eyes, since this could increase one’s risk of developing cataracts. About 5 percent of the population have undiagnosed abnormal DNA repair mechanism. When exposed to radiation, this can put them at a cancer risk hundreds of times greater than normal people. It also has been determined that when skin is next to certain metals, such as gold, the radiation dose is magnified 100-fold higher. What if you have a mole next to your gold jewelry? Will the radiation convert it to a melanoma? Deficiencies in certain vitamins can dramatically increase your sensitivity to radiation carcinogenesis, as can certain prescription medications. As for the assurances we have been given by such organization as the American College of Radiology, we must keep in mind that they assured us that the CT scans were safe and that the radiation was equal to one chest X-ray. Forty years later we learn that the dose is extremely high, it is thought to have caused cancer in a significant number of people, and the dose is actually equal to 1,000 chest X-rays. Based on these assurances, tens of thousands of children have been exposed to radiation doses from CT scanners, which will ruin the children's lives. I have two friends who were high-ranking Environmental Protection Agency scientists, and they assure me that in government safety agencies, politics most often override the scientists’ real concerns about such issues. This government shares House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s view when she urged passage of the Obamacare bill sight unseen — “Let’s just pass the bill, and we will find out what is in it later.” When the real effects of these scanners on health become known, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and the rest of the gang who insist the scanners are safe will be long gone. -
I find it safe to assume that when Christ said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" that our Father forgave them (everyone involved) and it doesn't even really matter what we think. Any blaming will be on our own heads.

You might also try variations of the names. There have been some name changes in my family tree especially around the time of immigration to America. I've picked up a lot of good information just googling. One google leads to another then another etc you might be surprised at what you find. I did find that a father and son both died in the Revolutionary War along with many other tidbits.

Our Heavenly Father and Christ ARE the light, literally. The light of life, without this Light we could not live because there would be no possibility of life. Without that Light even the Earth would die. It is with that Light of Christ or Spirit of Christ that the organized earth was given life. It gives us life. Yes the Light of Christ has bathed the earth and that's why we are all able to find Christ, have consciences and have the drive or desire to find the Church and the Holy Ghost. But it is much more than that. It is the reason life, including the life the EARTH is possible, (and the reason that all matter organized by God is able and willing to submit to and obey God) (including the Sun, moon, stars and the Heavens). It is a light that we would not be able to withstand is our earthly state in it's fullness.

No I did not. I repeat I stated that I don't believe either are hate groups. No I did not. I repeat I stated that I don't believe either are hate groups. Where is the Quote that I said that I saw nothing different between them. That nothing liberty does shows any difference from the church??????????

Arguing a point that wasn't even introduced, ad nauseum, is in my opinion being contentious.

First of all I'll take your word for it that a man with a Masters, and Doctorate of Education clumsily misstated (in all places of course in General Conference) his words. Second of all I cannot and will not debate with you on argument that I have never stated or eluded to. My statement "There is nothing that leads me to believe that the "Liberty Council" is any more a hate group against homosexuals than is the LDS Church." Nothing more nothing less. My statement still stands. the LC and the LDS Church are NEITHER racists nor hate groups. So go grow contention elsewhere please!!

From the Liberty Councilhttp://www.lc.org/media/9980/attachments/hatecrimes.pdf Therefore, the Hate Crimes Bill must be viewed from the perspective of those who believe they must actively oppose the homosexual lifestyle. Care should be taken to distinguish those who advocate bodily harm and even death for those who participate in the homosexual lifestyle from those who hold a sincere religious belief that they can do nothing to promote or accept the homosexual lifestyle, and indeed, must actively, though legally, oppose such lifestyles. The latter, and not the former are the subject of this memorandum as it is never justifiable to inflict bodily harm on another especially if the only justification for the harm is simply because an individual does not agree with another’s lifestyle. The Hate Crimes Bill must be assessed in its legal impact on this latter group who attempt to peacefully and lawfully live out their religious beliefs and advocate against what their religious beliefs prohibit. CONCLUSION Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are distinctively American. These two principles, among others, are what set us apart from the rest of the world as a beacon of freedom. These two freedoms are the most cherished freedoms. Indeed, they are the basis of a democratic society. Freedom cannot flourish if speech and religion are squelched and set aside in the name of tolerance and acceptance. A free citizenry is essential to the good-working of government. While the purpose behind the Hate Crimes Bill may be admirable, the immediate impact on ministers and religious organizations as described above as well as the future impact of the Bill justify its defeat. Because Americans hold freedom of religion and freedom of speech so dearly, and because they form the basis for democracy, every effort must be taken to guard against even the slightest threat to their full and unhindered existence. The Hate Crimes Bill, while admirable in purpose is duplicative of local laws, intrusive into local law enforcement processes, unnecessary, and is a threat to ministers and religious organizations in the ways described above. Religious individuals are normally the first to stand and decry acts of violence and murder no matter the motivation behind the act. This is even true when it is clear that the motivation for the act is based upon sexual orientation. The government should not enact a law that would cause these individuals to make a choice between following their religious beliefs or following the governmental laws. Punishing hate crimes is good and has been accomplished since the beginning of civilization through general criminal principles. Hate Crimes legislation is unnecessary and dangerous in its implications to religious organizations and clergy. But nice try. The debate isn't apples and oranges it was whether or not LC or LDS are hate groups. They both fought prop 8 and both stated that Homosexuals can be rehabilitated, President Packer said, “Some suppose that they were pre-set and cannot overcome what they feel are inborn tendencies toward the impure and unnatural. Not so. Why would our Heavenly Father do that to anyone?” Just because the Church might says it nicer doesn't make the LC a Hate group, but just a group exercising their Freedom of rights just as you and I are

This is directly from the SPLC web site::: Active U.S. Hate Groups The Southern Poverty Law Center counted 932 active hate groups in the United States in 2009. Only organizations and their chapters known to be active during 2009 are included. All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics. This list was compiled using hate group publications and websites, citizen and law enforcement reports, field sources and news reports. Hate group activities can include criminal acts, marches, rallies, speeches, meetings, leafleting or publishing. Websites appearing to be merely the work of a single individual, rather than the publication of a group, are not included in this list. Listing here does not imply a group advocates or engages in violence or other criminal activity. So now we have THOUGHT POLICE! Just like Satan wanted in the pre-existence (and now). Violence or lawlessness is not a criteria to be labeled a HATE group (according to the SPLC) but maligning, marches, rallies, speeches, meetings, or distributing leaflets or publishing (all protected by our sacred Constitution) is enough to be LABELED as a HATE GROUP. I for one am not on the POLITICALLY CORRECT bandwagon as I refused to think like a robot or zombie as the PC would have me do. My opinion is that PC is nothing more than satan's tool.

Another good product for storage is FOSSIL SHELL FLOUR DIATOMACEOUS EARTH USED FOR FOOD AND GRAIN STORAGE di earth - Google Search Mother Nature supplied the solution to those problems millions of years ago. Diatomaceous Earth (DE). It can be used effectively, as a pesticide on and around livestock, and in grain storage. It eliminates everything but the grain. In an outside environment, it's totally harmless to everyone and everything with less than six legs. Kansas State University in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture ran test after test on diatomaceous earth protecting grain. Grain that was put up in 1976, treated one time only with DE, that grain is as fresh and clean as it can be. Grain gets stale and gets a musty smell, but not with diatomaceous earth on it. It has been said that diatomaceous earth, when you grind wheat into flour, you need not remove it because it is not considered to be foreign material and actually it adds 14 trace minerals to your bread. When fossil shell flour DE is incorporated into bread it yields no change in flavor or texture. Controls insects in wheat, rice, sorghum, oats, rye, barley, corn and seeds of all kinds. Controls rice weevils, lesser grain bobers, flat grain beetles, red flour beetles, confused flour beetles, merchant grain beetles, saw-toothed grain beetles, granary weevils, larvae of the Indian meal moth, etc.

The book The Footstool of God explains the Light of Christ so that it's fairly easy to comprehend. The invisible sign of the approaching end of Earth's telestial days is the winthdrawal of the Spirit of the Lord, the fading of the light of Christ. The Spirit of the Lord is the fountainhead of those natural forces man has identified. It is the ultimate power from which all lesser powers derive. It is the dicine mortar which binds all creation together in one orderly, harmonious structure. It is the organizing, governing, and sustaining principle in all things. In the total absence of the Spirit, there can only be aimless chaos. Indeed, where the Spirit is not , there will be certain madness--the insanity of meaningless, uncomprehending existence. To the extent that the Spirit is manifest to less than an optimum degree, there will be proportionately greater disorder and decay. Simply stated, the less the light, the greater the darkness. This law of life applies everywhere and to everything throughout the dominions of God. Where God is not, life is not. His Spirit flows forth from his presence to infuse life into life. (See D&C: 88:11-13). However, man's retention of the Spirit requires that he live his life in harmony with the will of the Giver of that life. ...... Nephi warned that the "Spirit of the Lord will not always strive with man. And when the Spirit ceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul." (2 Nephi 26:11.) The floor, Sodom and Gomorrah, and the ancient civilizations in America are testimonies to this truth. The prophet Mormon encapsulated the foregoing when he summarized the downfall of the Jaredite nation: "The Spirit of the Lord had ceased striving with them, and Satan had full power over the hearts of the people; for they were given up unto the hardness of their hearts, and the blindness of their minds." (Ether 15:19.) The brilliance with which the Spirit--the light of Christ--bathed the primeval earth in glory faded with the fall and has generally continued to diminish thereafter. This lessening of spiritual light is quite undetectable to a world already groping in a darkness of its own making, but it is readily perceptible to the people of the Most High--"the children of the day." (See 1 Thessalonians 5:5.) .... In August, 1831, Jesus Christ told Joseph Smith: "I, the Lord am angry with the wicked; I am holding my Spirit from the inhabitants of the earth." (D&C 63:32.) In January 1833 the Prophet alluded to this revelation and said that the withdrawal of the Spirit was an obvious fact. "The governments of the earth are thrown into confusion and division and Destruction, to the eye of the spiritual beholder, seems to be written by the finger of an invisible hand, in large capitals, upon almost every thing we behold." Our generation is witnessing the acceleration of this withdrawal process The decline in genuine moral and religious commitment has become a cliche of the times. I think this explanation explains a lot and shows why there is a general lack of love and respect and truth in the world today. (Sorry for the length of this post).

I read them while in Germany in the early 70's. I found the Hobbit the best by far and can't wait for the movie. Hope they get the delay costing kinks out of the way soon.

I have a signed copy (1996) of her book and have read it 3 or so times. It's similar to Dannion Brinkley's book Saved by the Light (died twice changed his life completely involved with Raymond A Moody Life After Life). Am very familiar with both but can't vouch for them, but hope there is truth in them. A similar theme in both books is the Ripple Effect which I can probably say applies to all of us. Betty's third book is entitled The Ripple Effect which I just discovered because of this thread and will probably read it also. Interesting subjects.
