It is true we should already be prepared, but we are commanded in the scriptures to watch as well, e.g. Matthew 24:42, Ephesians 6:18, just google there are many scriptures...my personal favorite is: Luke 12:37 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. I don't want Him to serve me in that way, but I would sure like to meet him (again) face to face and serve Him! Another scripture says that if you are not watching you will be "cut off"...so I hope that helping y'all "watch" is a blessing to my friends here. As far as preparing...in 2007 the prophets told us how to prepare for the times to come...even if we had just done the bare minimum of what we were instructed to do then and put away a couple of cans a week for ourselves we would be very well prepared with a basic supply of foods we eat by now. MormonGator In Matthew 24 it says no man at THAT time knew the day or the hour, but we can infer as He was talking about it that He knew the season (and perhaps the week and month as well). I have a feeling that Heavenly Father might have shared with His Beloved Son, Jesus Chist, more during the almost 2,000 years since then and so it would not surprise me to find out that our latter-day prophets might know more about the week and month (and perhaps even the day and hour) since then. Also, Jesus was talking about, I believe, His Second Coming as in "Coming in Glory", a lot of other things must happen before that! (i.d. greater tribulations including Armageddon and seven years of picking up garbage after that...and then teaching the Jews and many other non-Christian nations about Him before He comes in Glory,. But then...the day and hour may still be something that the Lord, angels and prophets do not know...yet.) (Amos 3:7) .

It is interesting to me that "end times" is not a term found in the bible...instead we see "last times", "last days" and "latter-days". I believe the Lord named His Church, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." So I would say that if the Lord says that we are in the "latter-days" it must be so...as crazy as that may seem to some...and as much damage as that might do to others...I'll have to stand with His words. It was not my intention to say what these signs in the heavens mean...just that God made the heavens and He said that he would use them for "moed". The fact that these eclipses continue and are happening on His "Divine Appointments"..well I believe we should watch for significance as the heavens were created by Him. I am not saying to expect a calamity or other event on these days (although throughout history significant things, good and bad, have happened on and around His Divine Appontments.) But it is something I am watching as "His appointments" are drawing near and I thought others might be interested in "watching" as well.

Zil thank you for your comments as I try to be accurate and try to make things understandable and this is a huge topic to talk about in one post/thread. When you talk about the timing of the eclipse, I think you are talking about when it begins and I was talking about when it totally ends. Look at the last numbers on the chart and you will see what stuck out to me. You don't see exact numbers that often, so I thought perhaps they might have meaning, but this is certainly not the coolest thing about what I was trying to share...just the new thing to me. I understand that there is not a huge number of folks that are interested in the Signs in the Heavens that are happening on His dates given to us in Leviticus, but because some of these significant dates are coming up, and I am excited about that, I wanted to share for others who might want to watch these things as well.

It is not what I say or testify of that is important, it is what the Lord is through His signs that are associated with His calendar. Look at the link again and see when the September 1 eclipse ends..that seems like a God thing to me...12:00 exactly. I knew already that midnight on that clock is either 0:00 or 24:00. So then I wondered...what is the significance of the number 12:00 itself to us? Most of us see it as a number representing midnight (as well as noon) also 3, 7, 12, 40 etc. are numbers and have significance given them by God as numbers he often uses, so perhaps the 12 has another meaning or it is just an amazing coincidence. I believe that God is saying something with these signs in the heavens related to His calendar and I hope that there are a few here open to that possibility who will appreciate the OP.

NDEs, dreams and visions of other normal saints without stewardship over me is the last place I would look to learn church doctrine as these experiences often do not agree with each other, are often meant to be symbolic and not meant to be taken literally, or are what I like to call "too much pizza dreams." However, I find some of them very interesting and when particularly they are taken together there are recurring events and teachings that are worth knowing about I think. I am particularly interested in these things related to future events, so I particularly read the journal type accounts or teachings of George Washington, John Taylor, George Albert Smith, Brigham Young, Heber C. Kimball, etc. Seriously, many of them have shared dreams/visions/NDEs. But then if my friends or acquaintances have received a dream, vision or NDE I like to hear about those as well, i.e. what they received and what they learned from it. For the first time in almost 2,000 years the Sanhedrin did as commanded by the bible and started the New Year on March 10th of 2016. (The priests also sacrificed a grain offering on a small temple altar at that time.) Some of us were following the "blood moons" on His "divine appointments" last year (much of that is explained in books, movies and videos) and when nothing happened on Elul 29-Feast of Trumpets some folks were upset and others ridiculed. But folks forgot or didn't know that this is a Shemitah/Jubilee two year period and we are not to the end of that yet. To me this is particularly apparent as a "God thing" when you note that when the year was started as instructed by the bible (as happened this year) that the solar eclipses and lunar eclipses on His New Year's days and main divine appointment days have continued through 2016. I am posting this for other "watchers" who would like to know these things as I believe they testify of His coming. I do not believe He will come soon "in glory" as the second coming is a progressive event (I believe starting with God and the Father appearing to Joseph Smith, then Jesus appearing to prophets in various temples, and we know he will appear at Adam-ondi-Ahman, at His temple in the New Jerusalem, to rescue the Jews in Jerusalem, etc. before He comes in glory to cleanse the Earth and judge humankind.) These were sacred years where they were able to be with family on the tribal lands and worship in ways that were not possible when sowing/harvesting. Perhaps in a way we are doing that as well...perhaps that is why there has been such a push to keep the Sabbath Day Holy this year? So with my watching Elul 29 or the Day of Atonement this year as the end of this third Shemitah (this year shemitah/jubilee) "week" in a row (prior two had significant stock market crashes), does anyone else see as very significant the fact that the Elul 29/Feast of Trumpets eclipse ends at 12:00 (an exact symbolic number?). Saw the last blood moon and Supermoon and it was beautiful, just like the on-line pictures. Super cool to see, especially since I've been looking forward to these Signs in the Heavens since 2007-8. Ran into a lady who was loading her cart yesterday with food storage at Costco and we talked and she said it was because of a dream she had of a large earthquake and flooding in the Salt Lake City area. I asked her if she knew of or had read "Visions of Glory" and she hadn't when she had the dream. I was on a Daybreak bench on Saturday looking to the South and you can actually see a round lake like indentation starting near the point of the mountain and encompassing a large area (widow maker area in Draper). It made me think of the book "Visions of Glory" written by a lds man telling of his NDE and what he was shown about his future. I have great respect for him and he has been given some leadership responsibilities in his area which tells me that he is in good standing in the LDS Church. His book is a slow read at first as his first NDEs were about what happens to societies when evil reigns. Then around chapter six he is shown in his last NDE future things that he believes he will experience in the SLC area. Then today I read an article about the West Valley fault that they have discovered mid-valley that goes off at times in conjunction with the Wasatch fault. It heads to the East and the Wasatch heads to the West and it is thought they are connected deep within the Earth. Again made me think of this area that "Spencer" sees breaking and causing a large sink-hole lake in that area.

According to the King James Bible, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord comes,” (Joel 2:31) Regardless of your religious beliefs, the blood moon will be a breathtaking spectacle you’ll want to wake up early to see. Just make sure to be outside no later than 4:57 a.m. PDT or 5:57 MT to watch the transition. Okay so some interesting things about this is that it will be at it's maximum at 6:00 EXACTLY in SLC and will be the shortest lunar eclipse of the century lasting less than 5 minutes. (So don't blink.) So it is very short just before sunrise. A little more than a week ago with the total solar eclipse it was right before sunrise as well and was extremely short comparatively as the day there is 6 months long. There seems to be a theme there of a brief darkness before a long day. Can't wait for that millennial day!

It will soon be time to update this article with the 2015 General Conference and leaders quotes. Can't wait! Just notes of interest...the third blood moon of the historic 2014-2015 on Jewish Feastdays will happen during conference this year on April 4th. Also, we just saw the Total Solar Eclipse on the Hebrew "New Years" for their religious calendar (the one that God gave them) on March 20th. This TAV was the end of the second TAV on the Earth, the first TAV started on a historic day for SLC of the tornado on August 11,1999 and 2,422 days later was another total solar eclipse on the first day of the Jewish Calendar. This pattern happens 4 times between 1999 and 2034 and the path of totality of these eight total solar eclipses makes four Xs on the earth. Very interesting check it out.

This drought is still ongoing with major 25 percent water restrictions in California, 10% in parts of Nevada. Little water in the major dams that feed these areas. No end in sight. Most of Texas is currently in drought as well.

Check out another interesting thing about the four TAVS made on the earth across the world that started in 1999 and will end in 2034...for those interested check out what happened in Salt Lake City on that first total solar eclipse day.

There are four "tavs" which have been or will be drawn on the earth between 1999 and 2034. The Tav is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet and anciently was similar to an X. The "Tav" I am talking about is made by the first swath of the totality path or shadow (where the people are who can see it in it's totality) of a total solar eclipse being the first stroke of the TAV and the second being another total solar eclipse totality path making the second line of the X. The first "stroke" of the Tav is always an August total solar eclipse and the second stroke is exactly 2,422 days later on Rosh Chodashim (Nissan or Aviv 1) or the religous Hebrew New Year (to establish this date/calendar was the first commandment given to Moses' people, before even Passover.) The people looking up to see the total eclipse in it's entirety during the first stroke of each of the tav's will also see the "King" star regulus in the constellation Leo which is said to represent the Messiah. There are four Tavs spanning from 1999 to 2034 each of them around a week long with a few years between the end and beginning of each Tav week. 8/11/1999 – 3/29/2006 Is over Turkey which was prominent in the New Testament times 8/01/2008 – 3/20/2015 The second Tav is at the top of the world, it is shaped more like a chalise with the current eclipse the cup 8/21/2017 – 4/08/2024 The third Tav is over the heartland of the United States or New Jerusalem area 8/02/2027 – 3/20/2034 The fourth stroke of this last Tav goes through Luxor and Mecca and is centered in the Middle East Notice that the second and fourth Tavs are both on March 20th which are both total solar eclipses on the actual equinox day for both years. A total solar eclipse on the equinox does not happen again this century or next century or the one after that. Three of the Tavs are Xs with relatively straight lines. But the one on March 20th, 2015 is somewhat like the shape of a chalise and it ends at the top of the world. (My thoughts go to the cup of wrath that will be poured out upon the whole world. D&C 43:26, etc.) Some Hebrew scholars say that solar eclipses are a warning to the gentiles. Solar eclipses that happen at dawn mean a calamity is coming soon. It is interesting that this March 20th eclipse will be just hours before the polar sixth month long day begins in the polar regions. (Short darkness/tribulations before the millennium?) March 20th is the end/new beginning of several things... The Jewish religious calendar (Rosh Chodashim) Winter to Spring The end of the constellation map (Pisces 29 degrees) of the 360 degrees before it begins anew. The March 20th total solar eclipse will only be seen in two inhabited places one is the Faroe (Pharoah?) Islands. It's path also goes directly between the old and new world following the seas between into the Northern regions. March 20th is also one of six supermoons (THE supermoon is September 28th the same date as the final eclipse of the Blood Moon tetrad) this year. (Interesting note...In God's time March 20th, 2015 is exactly to the day 1/2 hour from the date of President Ezra Taft Benson's death.)

This research just came out today saying that 2014 was the dryest year in California in 1,200 years! Recent data from the NOAA said that the first 10 months of 2014 were the hottest since record keeping began. Weird weather is what started this thread and it hasn't stopped yet...

I know there are a bunch of visions regarding the future that are recorded as told to others. There is the John Taylor horseshoe prophecy, several versions of the George A Smith vision, a vision given to George Washington about future wars, and another probable vision of John Taylor that was recorded by Wilford Woodruff. As all are second hand, there are great debates about their authenticity. But they are interesting, all should light a fire to get prepared as none are "easy" dreams/visions. I watched a video today with a Christian leader talking about some bible prophecy in his opinion being fulfilled since the first "blood moon" April 15, 2014 1. 2nd of the blood moon tetrad full lunar eclilpses on Jewish Feast Days tonight at 4:51 am mdt October 8, 2014.

Guess what, the second of the four lunar eclipses is tonight!!! at 4:51 mdt! We are having a wake up party at our house...if it isn't overcast. :) I want to see all four, especially if it does have some signficance in the future I want to be able to say when my grandkids ask if I saw them, "Yes, they were awesome."

I hope those who are watching as commanded will look at the blog I posted as the chart is awesome. Then you can get up at 4:51 tonight to see the second of the blood moons on the Feast of Tabernacles the first one was on Passover and the next one will be on Passover as well, the following on on Feast of Tabernacles. Then the next agricultural and religious New Year's next year will both have a solar eclipse. The final lunar eclipse will also be a Supermoon when the moon will be the largest in the sky.

Especially for his coming in glory, I've got to agree with that! But we know that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a progressive event, i.e. he came to Joseph in the grove and in the temple and their will be other appearances according to President Benson as he will come to His temple, to the Jews after the tribulations/Armageddon and later in glory. But a financial collapse could be very "tribulating." But even that isn't my guess for the significance, I don't know what the significance will be, I just believe there will be one.
