The "king planet" Jupiter is born after 41 weeks of gestation within the womb of "the virgin" Virgo. She is clothed in the sun, the moon is at her feet and she is crowned with 12 stars... Revelation 12:1-2 1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. -

The 10 jubilee prophecy by Rabbi Judah ben Samuel is interesting because it talks of his prophecy in 1217 when he said it was a jubilee year. So some fascinating numbers: 1217 made prophecy 1517 Ottoman empire took over Jerusalem (was also the beginning of the protestant reformation) 1917 "Ottoman empire" driven out of jerusalem by allied forces 1917-1967 No-man claimed Jerusalem 1967-2017 10th Jubilee Summarized from the original German by Ludwig Schneider (March, 2008 in Israel Today on page 18 ): "When the Ottomans conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees. Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee, and then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time." "When the Ottomans conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees." This happened 300 years after Ben Samuel's death in 1517 when the Turks conquered Jerusalem. "Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee" The British conquered the Turks and the League of Nations/UN took the Mandate for Holy Land to the British, making Jerusalem an actual no-man's land under international law. "...then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time." In 1967 the Six Day War is when Israel took back Jerusalem. So this sounds like "end times" may be ending in the Jewish year encompassing our 2017-18. So it sounds like we should expect something significant... -

Financial Collapse of the US 13 Sept 2015 - YouTube Rabbi Jonathan Cahn (The Harbinger) believes that the economic judgment or collapse has happened in shmita years. Shmita (Sabbath) years are supposed to be a blessing to the people as a year of rest, debt forgiveness, etc. there is judgment on the Jews when it is not kept (70 years represent 70 unkept Shmitas). Elul 29, this day is the day of blessing when debts are wiped out. The Shmita, only happens on one day every seven years. Blowing of trumpets (can be a symbol of warning) happens all of the days of Elul and culminates in the Feast of Trumpets. Feast of Trumpets! 13 Sep, 2015 is the next Elul 29, is ALSO the day of the 2015 solar eclipse Israel was dedicated to God on sacred ground on the temple mount The US was dedicated by Washington to God at a chapel at ground zero April 30, 1789 "First Shaking" Elul 29, 5761 was 17 Sep, 2001 (significant crash caused by 11 Sep, 2001 ground zero tragedy) "Second Shaking" Elul 29, 5768 was 29 Sep, 2008 (saw the greatest drop in the stockmarket by 777.7 which was 7 percent) "Third Shaking" Elul 29, 5775 will be 13 Sep, 2015 (solar eclipse and Feast of Trumpets) This "third shaking" very well could be very significant for the economy if we don't get right with God. I've been in testimony meetings where in an extremely wealthy ward one brother said that he was especially blessed and chosen to be rich as it was proof of his righteousness and God's trust in him, and in a poor ward where the brother said he was especially chosen to be poor and it was proof of God's trust in him and proof of his righteousness (Satan was obviously working extra hard against him, etc.) But if I had to choose...

Garden report, early on the mulch contributed to an overabundance of earwigs that caused devastation in the small plants. I surrounded the plants with diatomaceous earth and this kept the rest alive. Once they got big enough the earwigs were no longer an issue. My tomatoes are smaller than last year but still prolific doing much better than my neighbors gardens with plants planted at the same time. My peppers, Kale and Swiss Chard are all doing well now that the heat of the summer has waned a bit. I have more cucumbers than I can eat off of the two surviving plants. I'm still making lots of "beginner" mistakes like planting my corn too close together, etc. What is the lesson I have learned from all this? It will take a LOT more seed than I would imagine needing if I ever had to actually feed my family from a garden area. Also my learning curve is very slow which makes me glad I am making my mistakes now when things aren't life or death. One prophet said that someday we will rely on what we can produce for food. I am still a long away from being able to do that. The strawberries I planted in containers did well where they had partial shade but ALL plants in direct sunlight didn't fair well and I planted alot both in containers and in the ground. Perhaps next year I will try planting them in mulch.

This year 2013 there was a bumper crop of wheat and corn and soy as prices overall are headed down, but with the crazy demand some experts expect to see prices eventually rebound somewhat for wheat. Also US HRW is the crop with the best protein content where other types of wheat and other countries wheat quality is not expected to be as good. China's price for bread flour has been at an all time high. China is expected to beat out Egypt this year as the largest importer of grain. China and Brazil (who don't usually buy much from us) are importing like CRAZY and so our wheat ending stock will actually be lower this year than last year, which is unexpected because of our large harvest "The U.S. and European Union are selling wheat at the fastest pace in at least six years, diminishing stockpiles even as farmers reap a record crop."Fastest Wheat Sales in Six Years Diminish Inventory: Commodities - Bloomberg . -
Put the wheel on the nail, if it rattles or is off balance it can slow the car down so you might buy more than one box and make sure there are at least 4 "good ones" in those two boxes. Also sand the ridges off of the nails. Keep the weights as even as you can as if it heads off to one side or the other it will slow it down. Like other's have said, for "professional" instructions you can find them online but you will usually need some drills and special stuff that our family seldom had. I celebrated when my last son "graduated" from cub scouts, no more derbys, reading this article it still makes me happy! Good luck!!!

US Drought Monitor Perhaps a lot of people are praying. Isn't it interesting that basically the I-15 corridor where the major populations are in Utah and parts of Idaho/Nevada continue to be a major area in the West that isn't in Severe-Extreme drought? Looks like to the West of the Intermountain West things got worse, but improved a bit to the East. Some of our reservoirs are telling a different story, my family's favorite one was so low this year that the previously lakeside campground was shut down. Note: September is preparedness month and case lot sales in many areas, a great time to stock up for the long winter, as well as for a future rainy day. If you live near Honeyville, their wheat is on sale $14 for 50 lbs a GREAT price. It was a good wheat harvest with the protein content reportedly pretty good this year overall and more particularly for red wheat as well. -

When you look at Jewish years they don't run as our calendar does but encompasses parts of two of our years. So if September 28, 2015 is a blood moon and a supermoon, what happens after that? Are there any other dates that coincide with Jewish holidays/feasts in 2016? As we know then part of 2016 is the end of the generation (after Israel became a nation) and also some believe ends the 50-year Jubilee. On the regular calendar these days do not have significance, so other's "bend" the calendar to make these dates significant, so very interesting but also very FWIW March 9, 2013 Some say this is August 31 through September 1, 2016 is an Annular Solar Eclipse Some say that this will also be Rosh Hashanah as it is possible using the Karaite calendar but it would be unusually early, but it would be impossible using the on-line type Hillell II calendar. The sum number of years between the first and the last is 6.66 years (rounded off) from the beginning Total Solar Eclipse on Nov 13, 2012 to the ending Total Solar Eclipse on July 2, 2019 That is interesting because the Total Solar Eclipse of Mar 9, 2016 the center focal point with 3.33 years in relation to the other Eclipses. "Those who have been prepared and reserved for this moment in time are here on the earth. You are here! The Lord knows what lies ahead, and this is just the beginning of your life’s race and the many mighty miracles that will occur as He hastens His work! The Lord has said, “I will hasten my work in its time.” And now is the time!" January 15, 2013, BYU Devotional "Prophetic Priorities and Dedicated Disciples Sister Elaine S. Dalton I think it is interesing how MANY times the early brethren were told NOT to do the work in haste. Regarding "Haste" in the Scriptures: wo unto them that say, Let him hasten his work: 2 Ne. 15:19 . ( Isa. 5:19 . ) ye shall not go out with haste, for the Lord will go before you: 3 Ne. 20:42 . ( Isa. 52:12 . ) work of gathering should not be in haste: D&C 58:56 . ( D&C 101:68, 72 . ) preach word, not in haste: D&C 60:8, 14 . Saints to assemble in Zion, not in haste lest there be confusion: D&C 63:24 . all things to be done in their time, not in haste: D&C 101:72 . flight should not be in haste: D&C 133:15 . "A few years ago the author of this site found that 49 years X 360 days (360 days represents one prophetic year in Bible prophecy) = 17,640 days. If you add 17,640 days to the recapture of Jerusalem on June 7, 1967 during the Six Day War (which brought Jerusalem, the Western Wall and the Temple Mount back into the sphere of Israel's influence), the count is completed exactly on Yom Kippur [The Day of Atonement] September 23, 2015. Does this represent another significant future event of the end-times?" “You shall count seven Sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you.” Leviticus 25:8-11. Unusual Cosmic Events 2014/2015 -
Isaiah taught that the sacrifices were worthless when they were not accompanied by repentance and an obedient heart. (Isaiah 1:10-17 ) Micah taught similarly when he proclaimed that God was not interested in the physical act of sacrifice by itself but in the life and heart of the one making the sacrifice. (Micah 6:4-6 ) Jeremiah condemned the belief that as long as the people were faithful to perform the sacrifices, then God would protect them. The symbol of the sacrifice had to be reflected in their individual lives. (Jeremiah 7:1-26 ) Malachi chastised the people for offering the lame and sick animals to God instead of their best firstlings. In doing this he said, the people were defiling the altar and despising God. (Malachi 1:7-14 ) Like others have said over and over again, this is not about accountability of the brethren it is about the life and heart of the one making the sacrifice to the Lord. If you give to the Lord begrudgingly, and are digging for reasons not to give (which I believe you are), are you so different from those who would begrudgingly gave of the sick of their flock and diseased portions of their crops and were ultimately said to "despise God?" Perhaps they even told themselves that if they gave better the priests might be tempted to keep the perfect animals and crops for themselves... .

I knew a woman that left the Church because she didn't think that the Church spent enough money by providing enough services. Her previous church had a daycare, pre-school and an elementary school, exercise classes, had paid professional counselors on site, etc. of course most of these services cost the members extra but she felt that the true church would have such services. But can you imagine being at the judgment seat of God and asked why you left His Church and your excuse is that you didn't trust His servants with His offerings? In the Old Testament times the Saints were to give the priests the best of their animals and food for sacrifice. They never saw their burnt offerings again either, nor did they have any say in what happened to these offerings after handing them to the priests. I imagine there were some that didn't trust the priests to actually burn their offering and others felt their offerings were mismanaged by wasting them on the altar when they could be used elsewhere, etc. .

I understand the frustration of being "poor" and overall it is just plain hard! wondering when those "windows" will open and start pouring financial blessings? I believe blessings come for the faithful, but if these blessings don't materialize how we want (money, health, friends, etc.) we can get just plain angry at God. Then it doesn't take long to find something or someone in the Church to become offended with. But I wonder, how well I would do if being truly "dirt poor" was my "test?" For most of us it never has been. Yet we have been told by prophets that a future "test is coming" and that "difficult days lay ahead." President Hinckley warned of calamities and of a possible depression. Elder Bednar recently talked of an "adventure." If something dramatic happened that changed our lifestyle how many could/would stay faithful if they lost their job, home, cars, and/or were often hungry? Could you be faithful in a tent or dirt floor shelter or if you only had one small meal a day like billions of other people in our world? I was just wondering how poor I would have to become before I might feel this bitterness as well? where I might look for reasons to leave the Church? I don't know and I don't want to find out!!! but it would be a very difficult test for me and perhaps moreso for my children and their children. .

The Church has auditors so there is accountability and double and triple checks when it comes to donations. For instance when tithing/funds are counted there has to be two leaders there, you get a receipt for your donation, you go over those donations at the end of the years with the bishop, these things must be entered into the computer and reports are made/given. Several years ago the First Presidency said that they will not go into debt to run the programs of the Church and that temple and missionary work are to take precedence over other things. As a result with the huge influx of missionaries and temple building other programs have been reduced. many greatly reduced. My child is going to Asia on a mission to a place that will literally cost thousands of dollars each month for food and shelter, we will only pay $400 of that. Then there are the other Church paid expenses of insurance, transportation, technology, etc. By December there are going to be close to 100,000 missionaries, paying just $400 per month (if they can pay that, many if not most in other countries can't.) Instead of asking where, I think the bigger question is how on Earth does the Church keep doing all it does with building and maintaining Churches, Temples, administrative buildings, then there are all the welfare services including many farms, LDS counselors, bishop's storehouses, etc. Missionary Work including MTCs, mission homes and missionaries, employment centers, deseret industries, Church dry pack canneries, museums, Nauvoo and other historical sites, visitors centers, research centers, technology/software/computer services centers, family history centers and software and cost of collecting billions of records, Church schools and universities around the world, , etc. etc. etc. Have I mentioned the Humanitarian warehouses and the millions given each year to other's not of our faith when calamities strike and then other programs such as wheelchairs, water wells, health services, etc. I don't believe that these things could all happen without the help of millions of miracles. Then understand that the majority of LDS adults are NOT full tithe payers, many of our numbers are children, and that relatively few areas of the world are self-sustaining through tithing funds and all that the Church accomplishes is even a greater miracle.

If you are asking about covenant people it is through heritage or adoption (conversion.) The abrahamic covenant can apply to all of abrahams posterity. Some when converted join/are adopted into this covenantal people when they make their own personal covenants with Him. After we have made covenants with Him we must do our best to keep those covenants and repent when we mess up. Part of keeping those covenants is to make His work our own through service, i.e. helping make our families strong, helping others, doing church callings faithfully, and most importantly His work of Salvation...missionary, temple and family history work.

I understand that having a family is a hard thing to imagine, I have sons who also would find that difficult. It is also hard to imagine that there is greater suffering in store with undealt with addictions than what one is currently experiencing, but sadly there is. Know there are those who care!!! even complete strangers who would spend almost an entire morning writing something she hopes will help those still struggling.

I just wanted to say that for men to grow up in this world without a pornography problem at some point I think is the exception rather than the rule. It's true, you need to confess with the bishop that has the "mantle", but you can often choose who to counsel with before or after that and those people could be others such as your parents, a professional LDS counselor, another leader, or the missionaries called to this work. Many bishops are still going to want you to "check in" occasionally for support and accountability. I have friends who were 12 step missionaries and said this work was some of the most rewarding of their lives as they developed so many wonderful friendships. I have known some young men that worked through the 12 step book with their bishop or parents. Your father does have stewardship for your family (particularly until you create your own) but is not the right one to stand in the place of Jesus Christ when it comes to serious sin such as sexual sin. I believe when addictions are longer standing such as yours it is important to do more than just stop again (although that is difficult enough). As life has a way of getting even more difficult at times and when that happens we often turn to our "coping" mechanisms. Also with addiction's Satan is not content to let you stay on the outskirts of sin, it always takes more degrading and stronger stuff to give one the same "high" this eventually turns (in the case of sexual sin) to unimaginable (right now) filth and darkness. Even after marriage some are disappointed because they find the "high" often is not as "extreme" as when Satan is the other one involved. I believe that when this addiction "happens" you are never truly alone, there are unseen others there who want you to become as miserable as they are/will be. Older men who I have known or known of (through others affected by their actions) have similar stories to yours up to your point in life but got in deeper and deeper until they cheated on their wives or molested their children. Those wives and children who are betrayed in such a way go through unimaginable pain and some for the rest of their lives and it unfortunately most often destroys souls and what should have been eternal bonds with wives and children. Daughter's often marry abusers because they don't feel worthy of anyone better, son's often turn to alcohol or drugs or become more seriously addicted themselves, etc. and generations are effected by the choices of that one father. Also, such father's often become extremely controlling in other ways with their wives and families when they feel they can't control their own actions in this one. Also, of those I know, those who do not work on it at your age are most often "caught" later in life in the most embarrassing and/or heart rending ways possible, often by a wife or (for those I've known) most often by their most beloved child. Seriously, imagine a four year old child or 12 year old son catching you in the act or unintentionally coming across pop-ups on your phone or computer or finding your "stash" (some becoming addicted themselves) or your daughter finding a dropped letter from your mistress or imagine being caught by police with a prostitute in a car or a child being overheard telling of her sexual abuse to a playground friend.... That has happened all to people I know, most LDS. My best friend's husband had a similar story to yours, but never dealt with it with leaders or with a program; he also "stopped" several times over the years. But eventually life happened and he went back to it again and eventually had a mistress and it was his daughter who "caught" them and since then he has lost everything first his family, through related decisions his job/insurance and then his health. Their whole family has been devastated, the children live in greater poverty, the younger son's who would have gone on missions are still home, his daughter believes she is the one that destroyed her family, the wife has lost almost all selfworth and trust in him and in men in general. Most sad is she might be willing to "take him back" but he refuses to seek "help" believing that because of the severity of the consequences he has "learned his lesson," but she doesn't trust he can do it alone (as according to others in similar circumstances she has talked to or whom eventually overcame their addiction it takes constant and serious spiritual work for the rest of their lives and for them permanent change almost always started with a 12 step program and (because of the severity of their decades long addiction) it is ongoing although not as intensive as at first.)

I thought this was kind of cute, a home ec film from the 50's talking about buying food...talks about case lot sales which are coming up soon! Buying Food (1950) - YouTube

Depending on your bed, you might be able to get "risers" and put the small LDS cannery boxes under it for longer-term type foods. You should now be able to buy most products they sell in the boxes. A starter kit box is about a month's supply of food for one person. Like Pam said, it is best to get foods your family eats which might be better in the closet, but if your food storage space is very limited you get more calories for the space in the bulk food cans or buckets. I've seen people make their TV stand out of boxes with a sheet over them, store boxes behind the couch with a nice cloth and glass over that so it can hold an arrangement, along the side of a garage, etc. The crawl space or attic space is a good idea for things that are not as heat sensitive such as whole grains and extra clothes/blankets and some equipment can go up there as well. A small filter (the church has a good one in the catalog) and some extra water could be important as well. Here is a list of the LDS centers. Home Storage Center Locations There are "meals in a jar" that your family might like to store...or "google" mason jar meals Chef Tess Bakeresse: 52 Method Jar Info Some people also store freezer meals in their freezer. Others put all the ingredients for a meal in a easy to carry gift type bag including the water so they know they have everything they need if something happens they can pick up the bags and go.

http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/archive/20130723/pdfs/total_dm_130723.pdf Here is a drought monitor showing that most of the West is in SEVERE drought this year so far and we are just headed into the hottest month of the year. My guess is that we will or even already have well surpassed the drought of the dust bowl years. As we are still in abundance there is something that one can do to prepare for things like pandemics, extreme droughts and unexpected calamities...buy food ahead so you will have it for a rainy day or in this case a not so rainy day. The prophet said in 2007 that it is a commandment from a loving Heavenly Father to do so, of course previous prophets have been telling us to prepare for well over 100 years. Unfortunately, only a very small percentage of LDS folk actually do. . -

"The fact"... :) From an LDS perspective most might be more apt to believe that the Earth is suffering under the amount of wickedness and sin on it rather than man's "abuse of fossil fuels." (Moses 7:48) However, if I had to pick a theory for what is going on I would go with the "expanding earth" or "polar shift" theories as there are scriptures and early discourses of the leaders in our Church to suggest that these things might happen before the millennium. This expanding theory also helps explain why we are seeing increasing earthquakes, sink holes, and the new and/or increasingly active volcanoes (each one can put off 950 tons of CO2 each day), the polar shift theory might cause changes in water currents and so wind currents as well, etc. Polar Shift is happening now "The magnetic pole is moving faster than at any time in human history, causing major problems for navigation and migratory wildlife. The magnetic north pole is currently shifting at a faster rate than at any time in human history — almost 40 miles a year — and some experts believe that it may be the beginning of a complete pole reversal...The changes are beginning to cause major problems..." Magnetic north shifting by 40 miles a year, might signal pole reversal - CNN iReport "If a large pole shift could happen suddenly, the redistribution of land and water it caused would be nothing short of cataclysmic. In the short term, it would mean earthquakes, strange weather patterns, massive tsunamis capable of drowning parts of continents, and possibly gaps in the planet's magnetic field -- our shield against harmful cosmic rays. In the long term, the redistribution of land and water in the tropics, subtropics and poles would fundamentally alter ocean currents and the heat balance of the Earth, resulting in widespread climatological shifts. Ice caps might melt and reform elsewhere, or remain melted, driving sea levels down or up." HowStuffWorks "Are the Earth's poles shifting in 2012?" Along the expansion line I thought this article was interesting... "Parting Of The Red Sea Over a period of three weeks...the crust on both sides of the Red Sea moved apart approximately...(26 feet), and magma rose out of the Sea. The molten rock - enough to fill a football stadium more than 2,000 times – was injected along a vertical crack under the Red Sea, forming new crust and splitting the Sea open...The Earth is continually moving in this region, and the Red Sea is parting much more rapidly now than ever recorded." 5.5 Earthquake Parts The Red Sea Also earthquakes have been increasing in strength see this chart for 5+ earthquakes... dlindquist.com - Research - Earthquake Project - Historical Quakes But whether extremes of weather are manmade or God made or unhappy Mother Earth made or just random/nature made is an ENDLESS debate that I would rather not go into here on this thread...as I said before, please, this is a thread to watch the weather and what is currently happening with crops, droughts, and other weather extremes caused by stalling or shifting air currents, not to speculate on and especially not to debate the causes. Thanks! -

It IS extremely weird weather! During the winter people similarly say we are going through another ice age because of the extremes of cold weather in places where these cold temperatures are seldom or never seen. But like I have been saying throughout this thread, the common statement you will find in these articles is that the weather systems/jet stream stalled or is doing very weird things. -
