  1. Makes the calculations so much easier; since I don't get paid on Sundays, I just write off everything up until that morning and toss in a nickel to cover any interest my accounts might be earning that day. Problem solved.
  2. Want to tell me where I can get worthwhile health insurance for $99 down and $40/mo? Not "catastrophic" coverage that only kicks in when you have a proven fatal injury, but something that would get me a regular doctor visit for the flu at a <$50 copay.
  3. Mainly depends on whether others notice you're "feeling the spirit." Or if you're overusing the "must be right under a vent - it's really cold here" excuse.
  4. Of course it has; where do most gay fantasies thinly disguised as literary criticism come from? Not blue collar lunchrooms. Fairly certain I've seen someone trying to normalize homosexual pedophilia by claiming Plato and Aristotle were "obviously" lovers. After all, why else would a teenage spend two decades with an elderly philosopher?
  5. Are you sure? Talking to a friend who was raised in the Church, she commented that she never knew anyone who sneaked off campus to smoke in high school. Well, surprise; I ad two of her closer HS friends used to head over to the parking lot across the street every day for a cig. Considering how strong five-minute-old tobacco smoke on the clothes is, it's almost inconceivable to me that anyone we had contact with after that was still clueless that we'd done it, but there it is. Sexual experimentation tends to happen a bit more discreetly. (Or at least most people do it when they will be bathing and changing clothes before going back to school.) To carry the same analogy, some are born with a strong predisposition to certain addictions, including nicotine. Those don't spontaneously manifest, however; regardless of the predisposition, a person who never experiments with nicotine will never actually become addicted to it. Coerce them into smoking one just once, though, and some will have a hard battle to beat it just from that, while others may not get the cravings until they've smoked a few more times.
  6. And I seriously doubt it was a conservative that first pointed it out. Let's face it; if Sherlock Holmes were first published today, there would be leftists all over the place pointing to it as a wonderful example of two brilliant gay men making the world a better place.
  7. You mean like the way about 40% of the Dr Who universe suddenly became gay or bisexual? Seems odd that a Time Lord zipping all over the continuum from beginning to end for the last 54 years only started encountering that relatively recently.
  8. Get the directory for the earlier ward and send it to prisonchaplain. Once he converts them, that time slot will be available.
  9. Then no one is allowed to talk about death on here ever again, since none of us have experienced it.
  10. What about Charles Manson? Just because several people have the same delusion doesn't make it any less of a delusion. This is why scientists observe and experiment rather than just voting on what they want to set facts to be.
  11. If what you think you are doesn't match what's between your legs, then it's your interpretation that's incorrect, not God's accuracy at playing pin the genitals on the mortal body.
  12. Not really; I didn't see any mention of seeking professional help.
  13. Funny; I don't remember the woman demanding that He accept and embrace adultery as an acceptable or even praiseworthy social norm because it's just how she is.
  14. Oh...and all this time I just figured you had a thing for French soccer players.
  15. First, hire M.C. Escher for the design work....
  16. Get the heaviest boxing gloves you can find and tell them to settle it between themselves.
  17. Yeah...some people listen so much better when you have them in a painful joint lock. Bishops don't like it when you do that, though, so make sure there aren't any witnesses, and you leave them too scared to tattle.
  18. Or possibly determination level. Most unsuccessful ones really didn't want to die.
  19. Until she accepts it.
  20. Unfortunately, the standards for call centers are low enough that there are almost certainly employees there who would be licking the windows if not constantly watched. As ffor figuring out which those are and leaving the rest alone, well, that would assume that the supervisors aren't among the window lickers.
  21. Self preservation. My now-7-year-old was born with an instinct for groin strikes in her sleep. Even napping with her on the couch these days I wake up at the slightest twitch and make sure I'm not open to a foot, knee or elbow.
  22. New numbers in; what he's building is 5600sf not counting the semi-detached 4 car garage and workshop.
  23. As opposed to those Presbyterian Rabbis?
  24. Because somehow, refusing to pay for it is taking away the right. Honestly, there are a lot of things I'm willing to not actively oppose as long as I'm not being required to pay for or otherwise facilitate them. Convenience abortion straddles that line pretty widely, but if my taxes went down due to not paying for any of them, I could find better things to do than get involved in that mess.
  25. Of course, the standard question also applies; have you talked to your bishop about this?
