Awww Ephie... I really enjoyed the song You have toutched my life in a way that you will never know... You were my "reality check" when I really needed it.. You saw what was to come before it was there & showed such concern and for that I will be forever greatful... You have said to me exactly what I have need to hear when you have said it... You have been part of my healing process in the last few weeks.... Thank you :)

Daily Gems Healing Comes in Many Ways --------------------------------------------------- "We can be healed through the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood. Jesus gave His Apostles power 'to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease' (Matthew 10:1; see also Mark 3:15; Luke 9:1-2). . . Although the Savior could heal all whom He would heal, this is not true of those who hold His priesthood authority. Mortal exercises of that authority are limited by the will of Him whose priesthood it is. . . . "Healing blessings come in many ways, each suited to our individual needs, as known to Him who loves us best. Sometimes a 'healing' cures our illness or lifts our burden. But sometimes we are 'healed' by being given strength or understanding or patience to bear the burdens placed upon us." Topics: healing, priesthood, illness, blessings (Dallin H. Oaks, "He Heals the Heavy Laden," Ensign, Nov. 2006, 7-8)

If you don't mind me asking... Where in Africa might this be? -
I was at the library tonight. I don’t recall seeing any really ignorant people. I didn’t see anyone fighting for the computer, getting assistance for their books, library codes or magazines. When I go to the library, I don’t need to check the weather forecast to see if I need a jacket. I also don’t ever get anyone’s autographs, ball cap or t-shirt freebie. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about any of those things. It’s really hard to find interesting activities that ignorant people will attend. They have so few interesting things to say. Elphaba That was an awesome response. That's Elphie :)

Daily Gems Bearing One Another's Burdens --------------------------------------------------- "[We all face] dangers and hardships. . . . [but] there will be 'angels round about you, to bear you up' (D&C 84:88). They will sustain us as we carry our earthly burdens. Often in our lives, those angels are the people around us, the people who love us, those who allow themselves to be instruments in the Lord's hands. "President Spencer W. Kimball said, 'God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other in the kingdom' ("There is Purpose in Life," New Era, Sept. 1974, 5)." Topic: Service (Susan W. Tanner, "All Things Shall Work Together for Your Good," Ensign, May 2004, 106)

Daily Gems The Scriptures --------------------------------------------------- "Everything in the scriptures is applicable to our lives. The scriptures answer our questions, they provide role models and heroes, and they help us understand how to handle challenges and trials. Many times the scriptures you read will be the answer to your prayers." Topic: Scripture study (Elaine S. Dalton, "Believe!" Ensign, May 2004, 111)

Life is simple. It is us HUMANS that make it hard. THIS IS SOME GOOD ADVICE! If a dog was the teacher, you would learn stuff like: When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. When it's in your best interest, practice obedience . Let others know when they've invaded your territory. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout..! run right back and make friends. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
