  1. The vast majority of the Republican party is just as bad as the Democrats. What evidence do you have that Trump is in Clinton's pockets? Other than conjecture, innuendo, what you heard on MSNBC, or your own theories? I didn't water anything down. What I did not do was take the taken-out-of-context version the mainstream media uses to twist Trump's words and make him look bad. What I did do was go to the original source to find out what was really said, not what some slimy reporter with an agenda twists what was actually said. I accept what you say about his objectifying women, and this is one thing I detest. However, that does not negate what he does say. The problem is discerning if he truly means what he says. Have you noticed the mainstream media doesn't do to Hillary what they do to Trump? Notice they don't even mention a word about her criminal conduct when it comes to violating the Espionage Act? If anyone other than Hillary did that, he would be hung out to dry. Reporters tell Hillary ahead of time what they will question her about. http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2016/03/07/msnbc-journalist-feeds-hillary-clinton-aide-questions-ahead-of-interview/ They don't do that for Trump. Notice reporters don't mention anything about how everything she says is right out of the Communist Party, USA playbook? Have you ever even looked at the Communist Party, USA website? The mainstream media is controlled by just six corporations: Disney, Comcast, Viacom, News Corp., CBS, and Time Warner. All but News Corp. are left leaning and only News Corp. is supposedly conservative. All of them have their own agenda and axe to grind. Do you really think you have much of a choice in news? Go to the alternative media. I prefer Breitbart.com and WND.com. but I don't always trust them either. One thing I do is never take another person's word for things. I check everything out myself and go back to the original source that was quoted because I don't trust people to get things right. I have found numerous mistakes because, quite often, words are left out, or the quote was cherry picked, or after reading the entire statement, I find the context was quite different from the cherry picked version. I have a criminal justice degree and a paralegal degree, and one of my strengths is investigating the facts. I often find things in my research that are overlooked, because I am very dogged in my approach. I look for facts that will either support or refute a position. True facts don't lie.
  2. Let me add one thing. I find it very typical of people who accept the mainstream media version of world and national events to have no response when a person presents contradictory evidence to the accepted mainstream version. Instead they use denial without being able to cite articulable reasons for their denial. Because they cannot refute the evidence presented in support of the "conspiracy theory," in response, they demean, ridicule, and make personal attacks in an attempt to shame the "conspiracy theorist" into silence. This is the normal route taken by the socialists of MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Washington Post, and all the other so-called progressive journalists. These are the same people who pushed for abortion rights and homosexual marriage, They are very sure of their own superiority.
  3. You talk about condescending, consider your own knee jerk reaction. I find your reaction to anything you consider a "conspiracy" to be very typical of the overwhelming majority of people. One thing I sincerely try to get people to do is some research. Look into things before you discard them out of hand. Don't trust the traditionally accepted version of what some people accept as the "truth" just because it is the mainstream version. The Book of Mormon is full of conspiracies. Is it false? The Gadiantons were a secret conspiracy and were responsible for destroying two nations. It was prophesied that the same thing would eventually happen to all nations. Pres. Benson taught extensively about the end time secret combinations that would destroy this country. We are to "awake to a sense" of our awful situation, but the overwhelming majority of Latter-day Saint's are asleep when it comes to the wolves within their midst.
  4. Do you know who was the biggest conspiracy theorist of the church? Pres. Benson. He stood up in general conference and said that every Latter-day Saint should read the book, "None Dare Call It Conspiracy." It goes into what you and many other people love to call "conspiracy theories," but I find that these people have absolutely no facts to back up their claims of no conspiracy. These people do absolutely nothing to look into things for themselves, to find the truth about what is a conspiracy fact or theory. On the other hand, I have a prophet of God identifying socialism as the end time prophecy secret combination. He called it a "conspiracy fact." You can watch a clip of it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJNMcD2IY_k I guess you need to ignore everything Pres. Benson ever said, since he was a conspiracy theorist. You also need to ignore the Book of Mormon, since it, too, is just chock full of conspiracies.
  5. mirkwood posted the first reference. Here is the second reference:
  6. You've been listening to the propaganda of the mainstream media too much. How about these spades. “Public funding of abortion providers is an insult to people of conscience at the least and an affront to good governance at best.” “As has been stated continuously in the press, people are pouring across our borders unabated. Public reports routinely state great amounts of crime are being committed by illegal immigrants. This must be stopped and it must be stopped now.” “The right of self-defense doesn't stop at the end of your driveway. That's why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states.” “I will...quickly and decisively bomb the h*** out of ISIS, will rebuild our military and make it so strong no one -- and I mean, no one -- will mess with us.” “We will bring a lot of additional companies in because our tax rates are going way down.” “We're going to repeal and replace the horror known as Obamacare, it is a horror. “I will bring jobs back from China, I will bring jobs back from Japan. I will bring jobs back from Mexico.” “Snowing in Texas and Louisiana, record setting freezing temperatures throughout the country and beyond. Global warming is an expensive hoax!” “I'm a tremendous believer in education, but education has to be at a local level. We cannot have the bureaucrats in Washington telling you how to manage your child's education.” “Thanks to McCain and his Senate colleague Bernie Sanders, their legislation to cover up the VA scandal, in which 1,000+ veterans died waiting for medical care, made sure no one has been punished, charged, jailed, fined or held responsible. McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.” “Energy independence is a requirement if America is to become great again.”
  7. I think the big reason the left and establishment Republicans, at least, hate Trump is because he calls a spade a spade. He doesn't use all the politically correct niceties and calls out the massive hypocrisy of the Democrats and establishment Republicans. I can't speak to those other voters who claim to be non-main stream conservative who don't like Trump, but I suspect he scares them because he's too aggressive in many areas. I could be wrong on that, though.
  8. Talk like this could get you branded as a potential domestic terrorist. Why would our beloved government officials do such a dastardly thing? Why would Apple do such a dastardly thing? How cynical and paranoid of you! It sounds very plausible.
  9. Joseph Smith said that the city of Enoch was located in what we call the Gulf of Mexico.
  10. Be careful, Lehi. You'll be branded a radical for posting stuff like this. That said, I would not go near Jackson County just yet. Are you familiar with a vision recorded in Wilford Woodruff's diary about the fate of the U.S.? The vision is attributed to John Taylor. In a nut shell, it talks about what happens to the U.S. when (I'm assuming here) the second civil war starts. Essentially, Jackson County will be wiped clean of inhabitants. You can read about it here: http://www.latterdayconservative.com/john-taylor/john-taylors-last-days-vision/
  11. That's OK. I'm used to this type of criticism and I find it quite amusing. I find it usually comes from normally good people who are ignorant and uninformed. It goes along with all the "traditional" answers that you get from many good LDS who don't take the time to do a lick of research into what is passed around at church. Oh, well, I'm used to that, too. “The bigger the lie, apparently, the more likely the uninformed were to accept it, simply because they couldn't believe any government would tell such an absurd story unless it were true.” David Weber, On Basilisk Station.
  12. Putting "truther" in quotes seems to indicate scorn and contempt for anyone who doesn't believe in the government narrative. Have you ever seen the video of building 7 coming down? When I first heard about it I laughed people to scorn. I didn't believe a word of the "truther" theory. Then I saw the video of a completely untouched building come down because of a small fire. It is the only high rise in history to ever collapse because of a small fire. In the video I saw evidence of a controlled implosion. So, I question the government's narrative. I can't speak to the WTC towers themselves coming down, but I question building seven's narrative. So, do believe everything the government puts out? Personally, if our current socialist president said the sky was blue, I'd go outside and check it myself. There's a quote I love from one of my favorite Sci-Fi authors. “The bigger the lie, apparently, the more likely the uninformed were to accept it, simply because they couldn't believe any government would tell such an absurd story unless it were true.” David Weber, On Basilisk Station
  13. I believe in end time prophecies and have spent quite some time researching them. I listen to our prophet and apostles, as well as reading the words of past apostles and prophets. What I see happening around the world matches much of what I've discovered and I believe we are in the last minute or so of the Saturday night of time. It's time to come back to Zion.
  14. I also have a very heavy patriotic streak, but it is tempered by what I see and have experienced. I have lived outside the U.S. a total of eight years and what I have seen gives the lie to the U.S. being the greatest country on earth. For economic stability, I would take Australia. Its economy makes the U.S. look like a third world country. The true unemployment rate in the U.S. is astronomical if you aren't using common core math to calculate it or aren't pandering to the Obama administration, or both. The "right of self-determination" in the U.S. is quickly becoming a thing of the past. We started out as a republic, but degenerated into a democracy. The 9/11 terrorist attacks (if you believe it was terrorists) accelerated the government agenda to increase the power of the government to conduct surveillance on the innocent American citizen. We now have don't fly lists where innocent people who simply don't agree with the government are banned from using air travel. We have returned veterans forcibly incarcerated in a mental facility simply because they posted disagreement of government policies on Facebook. In official government documents, there is a total of 72 ways you can be considered a potential domestic terrorist. People who talk about individual liberty, states rights, are "constitutionalists," believe in the 2nd Amendment, evangelical Christians, those who believe in end time prophecy, are opposed to the U.N., talk about the new world order in a derogatory manner, store food for emergencies, are frustrated with mainstream ideology, have patriotic bumper stickers, anti-abortion, veterans, support libertarian candidates, etc. I counted them up and I fit a number of them. According to the U.S. government I am considered a potential domestic terrorist, yet I am a totally law abiding citizen, former cop, and veteran. You call that freedom?
  15. Go live in another country for a year. Contrary to what most Americans think, the U.S. isn't the center of the world.
  16. It isn't the Christians who are attacking Boko Haran, or Christians who are beheading Muslims because they are not of their religion. Any instances of other religious groups killing Muslims was done solely in self-defense. It is Muslims beheading Muslims and anyone else who doesn't agree with their perverted brand of religion.
  17. I wish this were true, but it isn't anymore. I've lived in Canada, Germany, and now Australia, and I can tell you that America is no longer the greatest country in the world. I used to think the same thing, but when you live, not just see, the differences, you begin to understand just how spoiled Americans have become. Not only spoiled, but narrow minded, and unable to see past their blinders. Things like America food is absolute garbage unless you buy organic, and buying organic is very expensive. Australia has the sixth highest cost of living in the world, yet you can buy better, more wholesome, organic foods cheaper than you can in the U.S. When I briefly returned last summer after nearly four years in Australia, I was sickened after eating out my very first time. I finally figured out it was all the high fructose corn syrup used in everything. Once I eliminated that from my diet, I stopped feeling like barfing every time I ate out or eating some prepackaged meal. I see the massive disparity in equality among the have's and have not's. Don't get me wrong; I DO NOT agree with the way places like Canada, German, and Australia have achieved their current level of equality. It was done at the barrel of a gun (a favorite phrase of mine), in other words, forced on people by the government through egregious and onerous taxes, regulations, and immoral and unjust laws. However, that disparity remains in the U.S., and it is rapidly catching up to all the other countries in its egregious and onerous, immoral laws. For that matter, it has surpassed Australia and Canada in many ways in the immoral laws department. The question remains: what can be done about the laws in the U.S.? My answer is that unless the defenders of freedom unite, nothing can or will be done. Something I've been looking into is getting a referendum on the books for the requirement that a jury be advised by the judge of its right to jury nullification both verbally and in writing. I see this as the only way left to us to stop immoral and unjust laws from affecting innocent people. Just because something is a law does not make it moral or just, or constitutional.
  18. And what is so disgusting is that al Queda, the Taliban, and ISIS were all started by people within the U.S. Government.
  19. I'm one of the lucky people who have several kings and queens in his blood line. Some of them I'm not particularly proud of. My family name changed in the 1500's from the Campbell's to the present name. I think it was because Lord Campbell's son, my great, great, great, whatever grandfather was illegitimate. After discovering Lord Campbell was in the family line, the rest of my genealogy was already done. I have ancestors like Edward I "Longshanks" and Charles "the Hammer" Martel. I was clicking on my family name on the Church website, and clicking and clicking and clicking; I clicked for about an hour until I came across a rather famous name: Cleopatra (her temple work is done). I was blown away. I named my son for my great-grandfather who's nickname was, "Tom the Ranger." He was born in an LDS family, but was abandoned by his mother and lived with a bishop for several years. The man was brutal and beat granddad with a whip. Eventually, granddad became an outlaw where he got his nickname. He used to ride for the Pony Express and maintained contacts with the stations where he changed horses. When he turned outlaw, he would rob a bank in one town and would show up in another town 40 or 50 miles away in just a few hours. He did this using his contacts and none of the robberies could be pinned on him because the law didn't think it was possible to be in another town just a few hours later. Eventually, granddad got caught along with a partner and was given a choice by the federal judge: hanging or become a U.S. Marshal. The partner chose to get hung and granddad became a U.S. Marshal. What is amazing is that last year I was in Cedar City looking for some .22 ammo and wandered into a pawn shop. I got to talking to the owner about granddad and the owner said, "Tom the Ranger's partner was my great-grandfather." Small world.
  20. Radicalization of Muslim youth doesn't happen in the YMCA, nor does it happen in white neighborhoods, or in Black or Asian gangs. It happens in mosques and areas where Muslims congregate. It goes back to the propensity to commit crime. Where would you look for someone who has the propensity to commit crime? If you are looking for gangbangers, you look in areas where gangbangers congregate. If you are looking for radical right-wing Mormon terrorists, you look in Utah and other places with a high number of Mormons. You don't look in San Francisco. What you do is keep an eye on the mosques that have radical Imams that preach hate and intolerance. You watch who comes and goes. With the Japanese Americans in WWII, there was not one single documented incidence of terrorism or sabotage. You can't say the same thing with Muslims who are American. Muslims have established that they can and do radicalize, and that their radicals kill anyone who doesn't agree with their brand of religion. That's enough to make me leery of anyone frequenting radical Imams or radical websites. I would watch them closer than a hawk watches a mouse.
  21. Actually, they are both for government control over everything. The Democrats are overt and the establishment Republicans are covert. Both are crony capitalists and both are socialists. They only differ in their brand of socialism. Democrats are democratic socialists who push openly for a rapid acceptance of socialism without calling it socialism. The establishment Republicans are Fabian socialists who are working covertly for a slower acceptance of socialism without calling it socialism. The funny thing is, both are succeeding quite handily.
  22. Truth, freedom, and the American way?
  23. I decided to go ahead and give you a few of Hillary's platform statements next to the Communist Party, USA's platform. I think you'll see a few similarities. Hillary's Position CPUSA Position Immigration We need comprehensive immigration reform with a path to full and equal citizenship. …The Communist Party USA is committed to supporting, joining and helping to build the growing movement to defend immigrants from attack and to roll back far-right anti-immigrant measures.... Abortion Politicians have no business interfering with women's personal health decisions. I will oppose efforts to roll back women's access to reproductive health care ...We don’t cede an inch on the principle that women must have this basic right. Rather, we should argue for including abortion rights in a broader continuum... Guns "In the Australian example, as I recall, that was a buyback program. The Australian government, as part of trying to clamp down on the availability of automatic weapons, offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns. Then, they basically clamped down, going forward, in terms of having more of a background check approach, more of a permitting approach, but they believe, and I think the evidence supports them, that by offering to buyback those guns, they were able to curtail the supply....” (What Hillary failed to mention is that the Australian “buy back program” was mandatory) “...The ability to live free from the fear or threat of gun violence is a fundamental democratic right — one that far supercedes any so-called personal gun rights allegedly contained in the Second Amendment.” Taxes “I want to make sure the wealthy pay their fair share, which they have not been doing.” “I’ll cut taxes for the middle class, raise the minimum wage, and ensure the wealthiest pay their fair share.” The only economically viable approach is to tax those who have the money the wealthy and the big corporations. We need a tax system that works for the people of our state, not one designed to give tax breaks to the wealthy As a result of the decades-long efforts of the rich to avoid paying their fair share for social programs, and to place the entire burden of taxes on the shoulders of low and middle-income people, workers have developed a deep cynicism about the tax system. We know that we bear a disproportionate share of the costs of government that working families are over-taxed. Education “...I have a plan to make college affordable. Debt free tuition if you go to a great public college or university....” “All education will be tuition-free.”
  24. You've got to be kidding me. You obviously are not familiar with the planks of the Communist Party, USA, or the Democratic Socialists of America . Everything Hillary says is right out of their playbooks - everything. I'm not going to bother listing them because my fingers would get tired. Just do a little search of both. The only difference between Hillary and Sanders is that he has come right out and said he is a socialist. I can respect that. Hillary is just a closet socialist snake in the grass, and that is insulting snakes. It's almost like a bidding war between Hillary and Sanders as to how far they will go to fleece Americans. Bernie: I'll tax the rich at 65%. Hillary: I'll call your 65% and raise you 5%. Bernie: I'll call your 5% and raise you 25%. Hillary: I'll sell all the assets of the rich (except the elite, of course) and give it to the poor, oppressed minorities and undocumented voters. Bernie: I'll give underprivileged Americans free college tuition. Hillary: I'll give all undocumented voters and underprivileged Americans free college tuition. Bernie: I'll make college professors go easy on the grades for anyone going to college. Hillary: I'll make the colleges give away the diplomas. She is using Obama's tactics of bait and switch, promise then lie her face off, talk out of both sides of her face, or flat out bare face lie. What kills me is that people are so gullible to believe anything she says. I could probably sell some Arizona beach front property to your average Clinton supporter. If she said the sky was blue, I'd go outside and check it myself.
  25. “One can only imagine that those righteous Nephites who has been seduced into upholding, supporting, and partaking of the spoils of the Robbers were profoundly shocked when charged with having united with a criminal conspiracy. People in our nation today are ofttimes startled and angered when told that the welfare state practices they favor are the identical political programs proposed by the Communists to bring about socialism….The record is clear that the reason the conspiracy had succeeded in capturing control of the government was that the Nephites had been seduced into partaking of its spoils. (Helaman 6:38–39)” (Elder H. Verlan Andersen, Many are Called But Few are Chosen)
