  4. Well from my summerhome amd my moteher (in the pic with my sons) the Russian border is only some 2 hours drive.... Here where we live it is +7 hours drive and a boat over night + the 2 hours... Ofcourse Moscow is a LOT further away. Sant Petersburg is much closer like some 6/7 hours drive... Not sure ofthe condition of the roads there...Last time they were broad, but full of holes... :o

  6. I know what you are talking about...but I have only 4 kids 2 home... Getting older is not easy either sudenly you see you have no pension coming after so many years at home.... And no one will take a over 50 years old to work... I quess I have to be very kind to my youngest ones so I may get a place to live with one of them when I get really old...acorner by the fireplace... oh and a computer...

  8. Hi from an other poet...even though my poetry has been under cover a while because of things in my life... have not been able to even write like I used to. But that is an other thing. I was babtised at the age og 30... Had a wonderful childhood, through addopton... I cant find words to express how I feel about people like you... you are just ... a flat word... fantastic! I gladly help you in anythig you may need to ... however I am pretty busy and have no time to go through alot of this forum... I moderate the finnish and the norwegean part... pretty quiet there ... but you are well come to ask me anything... I have kids: 16,18,23,31 and 4 grandkids; 14,8,5,3... We live in Norway, but I was born in Finland... so my english is a bit... hmmm... My real half siters and brothers live in Canada. I have some "books" under work and there is something I would like to ask your opinion about... would that be ok through message system here...
  9. Thanks for input. I agree, time here is too short for sitting and remembering the bad things in past... remembering the good things keep you going forward! I have a good frend who has to endure tasmanian devils every now and then... :) If you are in Middle Earth..where am I ...Norway?? (overthe edge??)
  10. A nice accident!! Well come ...enjoy!! Not me in the picture... Mom with grandsons..
  11. I can well understand your feelings...and the others too... Before it was like if you did not go there was something wrong with the person or the testimony of the person. Many felt dissapointed and ...let down asthey ahd buils their hopes on you ...BUT hey that is not the end of the world... nowadays NOT everyone is any more allowed to go on mission... so there will be MANY more that wont go. My best frend has 3 boys only one went... the oldest is a bit sorry he did not,but he was inactive at the time ... well he can do it later... the youngest... it was good for him to be home... it would have been a bit too much for him I am afraid. Anyway I hope you can forgive those that look down at you, it really isn THEIR problem NOT yours. I wish you strength so you can go to church and hols your head up high...and take a girl that is not LDS with you... Good looks in everyones heart, but then again you know where you should be... to serve Him best!
  12. So sweet!!! I wish yu both ..... endurance...
  13. Everyone who is not against us is with us... with us to build a better tomorrow to everybody! It is good to have frends that are not LDS lifting their voices, so we too can see that not everybody who is not with us is against us!

  18. I red teh news from Cambodia and felt that I should tell what else is happening. Mu best frends good frend has started a childrenshome in Cambodia. She especially started a home for abused girls. She told a few years back how the men who the girls used to work for came at night and tok 3 of their girls back. But one of them had a cellphone with and could ring forhelp. Stil one of them was never found and an other they had found a buyer and she was supposed to be taken the next day... The center used to get help from Finnish state, but I am not sure how things go now. She is not there anymore all teh time like she used to but the whole thing is taken care of by the locals. She is a mormon, but not those that are there now. Here is the nettside for you: Home - Children Of Cambodia NGO Maybe there is someone there who can help them in one or an other way...Looks like the shelter is taken to Phnom Phen and put together with an american shelter... nice.
  19. And hi from Norway... see you around...
  20. Welcome! I live a bit closer to russia... Your boyfrend must be a good guy as they send him to Russia... it is not everybody that can get a call to there.
  21. Well come! I love the old polynesian dances. The BYU dansers were in Norway a few years back and I got the frontrow seats to my family...one of the horrifuing polynesian solder dancers jumpped right in front of my ab.10 year old and pointed a spear at him and showed his tonue...man was he frightening... . My son thougt that was pretty cool! You can imagine if we were dancing polynesian for a while...especially the tongue scare! We had a couple of the guys over night too... I still have the video somewhere.... and my son loved the song "come my son..." Polynesia is one of the places I really would love to visit. Would be great to have a sailboat there... are there pirates around?? There are places in the world, one do not dare to sail as a foreighner, as there are real pirates.
  22. Finno-Ugric... thanks Honos... been wondering what that is in English we say Finsk-Ugrainisk or Suomen Ugrilainen (spelling probably wrong). My good frend is a sami... but she had never heard of Sami dance... hmmm... She is from Alta and around there but has lived here close to Oslo now many years. I again am finnish... but not finnished... I hope, even though sometimesit feels like that. Sami language is special. I understand a lot more ofthe speach of Finnish sami thatn that of Norwegan, Swedish or Russian sami. It seems that they are getting some kind of autonomi... that they can decide of things that consern them themselves all over northern parts of these horthern countries. About Sami: Várjjat Sámi Musea - Varanger Samiske Museum Here you can see the beautiful clothes: Boazo Sámi Siida - Ekte samisk reiseliv - Velkommen
