  1. My dermatologist gave me roaccutane, and a whole lot of gentle skincare to go with that.
  2. Yes. Names are like, for example, (without the icelandic characters, cant be bothered atm): Agusta Eva Erlensdottir, Bjork Gudmunsdottir, Siggi Guthmunsson
  3. As far as I've been educated, it was for total freedom of religion. That never really happened, and still hasn't fully, but it's getting there. :) Its true that the founding fathers did want to escape the financial elite monarchies and bankers. Thats why America was so against a reserve bank, but eventually the government was conned into getting one, and wah-la, financial problems. I thought LDS view was it was promised land of the Nephites, but since they dwindled, Gods grace was not so much their because of their iniquities?
  4. But that doctrine wasnt "found" until after Joseph's death, apparently.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks that maybe, just maybe, polygamy started with other members of the church, and then Brigham, not Joseph? [i'll talk about why later on, just wanna see what you all have to say first]
  6. Especially the one from 1999, just wonderful. :)
  7. I think it's simple, really. Some people just wont accept open canon of scripture. Ofcourse, it's probably quite more deep and diverse than that, but I truly scratched the surface. All religions endure it though.
  8. I've actually tried it
  9. Yeah, it's available here, but it's not for everyone. It dries out my skin very much, ... not really for me.
  10. You should never worry about religious opposition. Let people worship God to their own dictates. One can share the truth, but ultimately, it's up to the person to accept it or reject it.
  11. Yeah, basically; if you feel uncomfortable with something, stop. I think that's a basic rule-of-thumb with most everything in life.
  12. Thankyou for your kindness d-a-c. It's so nice of you all to be supportive, because I really didn't expect it - you've all exceeded my expectations. I went to a beautician today and asked about OxyCover, she was a Clinique consultant, and she told me that I shouldn't be putting anything on my skin - except for a cetaphil cleanser, which I already use because it's balanced ph, and it's REALLY careful on the skin - and I have really sensitive skin (which tends to go with acne, i feel). She basically said she'd refuse to sell me anything until after I'd seen my dermatologist on Tuesday. She also gave me a lot of confidence, because, my mother was telling her how I'm expecting a job interview in the next week or so, and she basically said ... don't worry about that, your employer KNOWS that acne doesn't stop you from doing a satisfactory job. So all good around I guess. Praise God for the mercies He shows me.
  13. .This brought quite a smile and a laugh to me, thanks. :) But .... I wouldn't describe mine as the "odd pimple", if it was, I wouldn't be going to a dermatologist. I'll do a before and after photo - for fun. ;p
  14. It's a terrible feeling when you just cant sleep, and you lie there for hours trying to sleep. Diet also plays a reallllly big part. Take a look at your diet, are you eating meat sparingly (meat gives you a LOT of energy). Dieticians say you should only eat meat about the size of the palm of your hand, per day. Not big servings. I'm generally vegan, but sometimes I eat meat and animal products- on a really demanding day, or if im just flat out tired. In sum-uppance; diet plays a big part. Eat according to your energy needs.
  15. I seem to remember reading that sometimes blacks were ordained to the priesthood before the revelation that all races should recieve the priesthood. Is this correct? Or was it flat out no, with white people only?
  16. Keith, the names have never ever been "switched", where did you get that from? Iceland has always been called Iceland, for like, 1000 years. No pam, I'm not - but I have friends in Iceland, and learning the language and so forth. ----- History of Iceland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia According to Landnámabók, Iceland was discovered by Scandinavian sailor Naddoddr, who was sailing from Norway to the Faroe Islands, but got lost and drifted to the east coast of Iceland. Naddoddr named the country Snæland (Snowland). Swedish sailor Garðar Svavarsson also accidentally drifted to the coast of Iceland. He discovered that the country was an island and named it Garðarshólmi (literally Garðar's Islet) and stayed for the winter at Húsavík. The first Scandinavian who deliberately sailed to Garðarshólmi was Flóki Vilgerðarson, also known as Hrafna-Flóki (Raven-Flóki). Flóki settled for one winter at Barðaströnd. It was a cold winter, and when he spotted some drift ice in the fjords he gave the island its current name, Ísland (Iceland).
  17. I actually have no idea which the two greatest are? I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me. :)
  18. You'll notice if you click on the links in the "notes" of the first in those links at the List of sects in the Latter Day Saint movement, that the LDS church comes up first. :) But, really, it's all about faith. You have to ask God what is true, and to find out for yourself through him.
  19. Oh, so do I. I've prayed about this as well. Thanks for your reassurance. :)
  20. To me, RLDS sounds like a Church affected by the wants and desires of humankind. If you want to discern, in a very short period of time, between some of the differences in the church, then take the neutral way (Good ol' Wiki): History of the Community of Christ - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Community of Christ - Major Beliefs ----- History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Basic Beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  21. You're quite correct pam, but Iceland does have some glaciers, and is about as cold as New York. (so i read) But since Iceland was discovered before Greenland, well, you get the picture I have no idea about the confusing the enemy thing, though.
  22. Hahaha, and one would certainly need a lot of money for a nice holiday in Iceland. ;p
  23. I should forewarn you, this may seem like a giant ramble. I stay inside, all the time. I only go out if I absolutely have to. All this because of acne. I used to be confident, and a big part of that was my fairly good skin, which you can see by my picture. In the last few months it's gotten really, really, bad. I don't know if the term "Cystic Acne" brings understanding to any of you. It keeps me from doing everything. Literally. I've been taking this year off to save for next year, so I don't have to work during my final year of High School education. But haven't worked for most of it, because of my acne. I cannot even shave. It's very painful. I finally get to see a dermatologist next Tuesday, for which I have to travel a great distance for, and will probably be prescribed dreaded roaccutane or something. But anything for good skin. It so breaks me emotionally. Is this state of mind sinful; vain; pride? Is this not evidence of a fallen world? In a perfect world, we wouldn't have these problems.
  24. Oh, awesome! So you can speak some Icelandic, I'll take the libery of assuming? (ps: spelt Keflavik)
