PinkCow Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Okay, So.... I babysit for this lady, who just had a baby, on Saturday. I havn't called to say Congrats yet. Woopsie. When she called to tell me that she had her baby, I wasn't home, so my Mom took the message. Mom told me that she said that she will call me about coming over on Friday. She hasn't called yet. So, should I can her tomrrow, and just be like CONGRATS?!?!?! (I don't expect to go over and babysit tomrrow, maybe just go and v isit, but, maybe because I'm calling on Friday anyways, would it sound like I want to come babysit anyways?) Quote
PinkCow Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) Or, Should I wait till like noon tomrrow, for her to call? If she doesn't call by noon, then I'll call, to say Congrats? I just don't want it to sound like I WANT TO COME OVER TO BABYSIT. :| OR, Maybe I'll just call in the morning. alsjdlasjdjasd Why didn't SHE call? LOL It would of made things easier. Decision suck, Even if they are little ones. Edited September 26, 2008 by PinkCow Quote
PinkCow Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Maybe the best thing that would happen is that she won't answer the phone!!! haha that way I can just say congrats and hope to see you soon, as a message on the answering machine without it sounding like I want to come over now. Elphaba Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Send her a baby gift, or even just a card. She's probably too exhausted to talk on the phone right now anyway. Elphie Quote
Moksha Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 If she called, she wants to talk to you. Like call her and say congrats. Elf's idea of a card and a baby gift is great. Quote
pam Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Even a short call prefaced by saying...I just wanted to call and say hi and congrats. If you start off the conversation with something along that line..you set the tone without it sounding like something more. Quote

I thought Pink doesn't want to babysit, and thus, is nervous to call because she thinks her friend will put her on the spot by asking her to babysit.Geez, I can't keep up with you guys.Elphie Quote
MorningStar Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Call her, say congrats, and say, "Let me know when you're up for having visitors. I'd love to see the baby." :) Quote

Just to tell her she had her baby. Perhaps I misunderstood. Quote
PinkCow Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 I usually babysit on Friday, and today is a Friday, That is why I was nervous of calling, because I thought she would think that I was waiting to call on Friday, just so she would ask me to babysit. If she did, I wouldn't have done it anyways, becasue she just got home but whatever. :) Quote
pam Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 You are too cute. Glad it all worked out. Quote
