my son brought home a book from the library today. i think it's my new favorite book. "You Are My I Love You" by Maryann K. Cusimano

a small taste......

I am your parent; you are my child.

I am you quiet place; you are my wild.

I am your finish line; you are my race.

I am your praying hands; you are my saying grace.

I am your good-night kiss; you are my I love you.

what are some of your favorite mushy books for your kids? lol

I remember this really cute book tho I don't remember what it's called. It has a rabbit and another rabbit (perhaps mamma and baby). The book goes, guess how much I love you. And the little rabbit stretches his arms out as wide as he can "This much?" No says the mamma rabbit. "How about from that tree to the other tree?". "Nah" says the mamma rabbit and so on. It's cute ^-^

The only "mushy" book I liked was The Runaway Bunny.

We're more of a Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog and Happy Hocky Family sort of crowd when it comes to picture books. I think I'll Love You Forever is kind of scary. If my MIL were to crawl into OUR bed at night, she'd be in for a beatin'. And I'd be mad, too. ;)

Rudyard Kipling's "The Second Jungle Book"

By the Broken Lock that freed--

Man-cub, 'ware the Man-cub's breed!

Scenting-dew or starlight pale,

Choose no tangled tree-cat trail.

Pack or council, hunt or den,

Cry no truce with Jackal-Men.

Feed them silence when they say:

"Come with us an easy way."

Feed them silence when they seek

Help of thine to hurt the weak.

Make no banaar's boast of skill;

Hold thy peace above the kill.

Let no call nor song nor sign

Turn thee from thy hunting-line.

(Morning mist or twilight clear,

Serve him, Wardens of the Deer!)

Wood and Water, Wind and Tree,

Jungle-Favour go with thee!
