Hemidakota Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Oil hits three-year low at $US48.50 a barrel - almost there [40.00 dollar a barrel] 2.02 this morning....:) Quote
countrygirl66 Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 So are you saying everyone that told me to get rid of my cars (that are paid for) that use a lot of gas and (finance) a gas efficiant care may have been wrong. After all everyone told me with gas at 4 - 5 $ a gallon it would have paid for itself in 5 years. It is just fun to be right for a change (doesn't happen often) Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 So is the Dodge SRT-8 Magnum wagon....the optimal grocery getter. Great car, but unfortunatly it has been cancelled. My wife and I are looking at trading in our 1991 Accord Coupe for a Dodge Caliber or a Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe. Quote

StosRob Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 I drove a 99 GMC Suburban until the transmission went out a few months ago. I didn't have the money to fix it, so I started driving one of my husband's old 85 Ford Trucks. My mother said it was getting cold and at the time, gas was outrageous, so she borrowed $1000 and bought me an older 95 Pontiac Grand Am to drive until I get my Suburban fixed (which will probably be income tax return time because it was going to be a couple of thousand to fix.) The Bishop found out I still didn't have a vehicle to get everyone back and forth to church (without having to make 2 trips or have someone pick some kids up) and the Bishop's daughter was getting a newer van, so she gave me her old 94 Chevrolet Astro. You should see our driveway! Quote
