I will try to give a small account of myself, try to get most of it correct and to not bore you in the process;-]

I shoot my mouth off every once in a while and it may be a good idea to give you some idea where I am coming from;-)

I was born in a humble log home. . .;-)

Not really;-)

A hospital in Seattle back in 1950.

Moved to Alaska in 1951 and lived there till about 1970.

I had the opportunity to visit the lower 48 from time to time throughout my childhood.

I was able to do this only because I lived with foster parents from the time I was 5 to the time I was 9.

I was able to then get back with my own family till the time I was 12..

At that time my parents were divorced and I was again back with foster parents.

AT 15 I was in Seattle till I was 16 then spent time running wild up and down the West Coast.

Back in Alaska at 17 till around 1970 at which time I went to work in the oil fields of the Southwest.

I was injured in the oil fields but continued to work in that profession until I could not do it any longer and later continued to work truck driving, cab driving, working in stores and working as a janitor and grounds keeper in different stake houses of the Church during the times I worked in the Church buildings I was able to use the Church libraries and read just about every book available.

Many times when people would come by curious about the Church as I referred them to the missionaries and tried to get their information, I would also try to answer their many questions and many times they would send me back to the books to learn more of what they would bring up.

I have written many pamphlets trying to explain gospel doctrine and scriptural history.

Some years ago I had to give it up as my health would not allow me to continue.

I have failing mental abilities as well as physical and over the last 15-20 years have lost many of my note books and books of study as well and many of my life possession.

I am doing quite well to keep a roof over my head and get around.

Actually when I think about it I am doing quite well;-)

I am glad I am not having to write this on a typewriter as it would never get done;-)

I was born into a Roman Catholic family.

At 12 I went to live with couple who I had lived with before I went back with my family.

It was nice as I already was familiar with them and I liked the lady very well.

Just before I went to live with them she had a crises of faith in which she had a series of dreams in which she learned that two men would come to her door shortly and she was to listen to the message they would bring for they would answer her questions.

I moved in with them as she started the missionary lessons.

She and I believed the message they brought and agreed to join the Church.

I had contact with my mother and brothers and sister and from time to time was allowed to visit and write back and forth with them.

I could not resist telling them about the church and was able to see my mother and brothers and sister along with a couple of my Roman Catholic aunts join the church.

One of my aunts even became a temple worker;-)

Even though she has been long gone I know she is guiding the departed into greater opportunities in their lives as was her delight while she was with us.

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one true church on the earth today.

I know that the Priesthood authority was restored to us in order to allow the setting up of His Church in these last days for the last time.

I know we have all we need to do His work and know enough of what we need to know to do the work that is needed to be accomplished at this time in the Scripture that is provided to us and in the words of His living prophets.

I believe we can rely on the Scripture He has provided us and that they are in the condition He has determined we are to have them and they are true and reliable.

I believe that any problem in Scripture we think we have come across, can be resolved with a little study.

A person who only reads Scripture from time to time, one part here and one part there will only continually run into problems in Scripture.

This is the true and only Church of Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures are God's words to us and He has given us living prophets in these last Days.

This I declare to all the world, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Being disable, whether it is mental or physical can be a challenge. Even I am facing some disabilities now in my life, perhaps the same, but I give gratitude to my FATHER for any 'bread crumbs' that come my way.

Facing challenges is our trials and always a plus for us that the Lord would keep molding our lives to perfection. Hang-in and thanks for sharing your experience and short history of your life. It is a welcoming experience to see such.
